    Congratulations and Thank You all for elevating our Pole Vault Club @ FLYING CIRCUS CENTRAL. Each one of you… in very different ways…have put us on the National Pole Vault Map…. You all have been focused and you all have delivered the goods…. and the real goods are GREAT FRIENDSHIPS and FULL EFFORTS. Keep looking forward…as there are more challenges and adventures to come. We are PROUD of YOU.

    New Jersey Meet of Champions- The Toms River Bennett Center was the site for the New Jersey State Meet on Saturday..as 20 Circus Pole Vaulters represented our little club with “Abundant Spirit”…. Governor Livingston HS Junior Leah Saifi won the gold medal with her first ever 12′ 0″ leap for Coach Anthony DeFranco. This Indigo Gymnastic Club Level 10 gymnastic star is making a fast climb in pole vaulting and stayed humble with her BIG DAY on FIBERGLASS. Michelle Rubinetti(NV-Demarest) flew to 3rd at 11′ 6″, using her 8 step approach for the first time with BIG AIR at 12′ bar… Jessica Ippolito(Fair Lawn) just a junior sailed 11′ 0″ for 5th….Maxine Earl(Ridgewood) junior placed 7th at 11′ 0″ ..Caitlin Reverand(NV-Demarest) sailed huge over 11′ 0″ for 8th place ..followed by Bridget Muller(Mahwah) 10′ 6″ Nicole Lester(Ridgewood) 10′ 6″ Jackie Helm(Paramus) 10′ 0″ Caroline McGann(Holy Angles) 9′ 6″ and Melissa Purcell(Pascack Valley 9′ 6″. In the Boys section.. Vernon,NJ junior Trevor Hazel placed 6th at 13′ 6″ for the Vikings…Brian Rubenstein(Gov. Livingston) placed 7th at 13′ 6″..Joe Kim(Ridgefield Park) 13′ 6″ Dominic Roca(Mahwah) 13′ 6″ Peter Chen(Delbarton) 13′ 0″ Greg Fuentes(Paramus) 13′ 0″ .. Seth Kricheff(NV-Old Tappan) 13′ 0″ Dave Bausmith(Hunterdon Central) 12′ 6′ and Dante D’Agostaro(Mahwah) 12′ 6′

    PA State Meet of Champions….Penn State University was the site…as Hatsboro HS junior Nick Marino took it up with a 15′ 0″ PR for 4th place finish…. and Madeysen Hawkins(James Coughlin,PA) soared 111’0″ again for the 8th place vault medal in this deep state vault meet again this year with Katie Jones(South Williamspost) and VaultWorX leaping 12′ 6′ for the ‘Fiber-Title’.

    Utica USATF Invite…. The new track facility at Utica University is pole vault friends…. as Virginia University…Tedi DeMaria(Bethlehem,NY) flew 12′ 0″ in her tune up for Eastern States and NY State meet next week at Cornell. Elity Legg(Delhi) was solid at 9′ 6″ again. Both look forward to STATE VAULT.

    NY Section 9 Quals… West Point-Gillis Fieldhouse was ringing with the competitive spirit of real High School sport… Friday in the girls vault..it was Kristen Lubeskie(Monroe-Woodbury) soaring 11′ 0″ for the gold medal and her trip north next week…Sophia Alter(Rondount Valley) placed silver at 10″ 6…and Colleen Leahey(Burke) makes her state trip and becomes the third Leahey sister to excel in the vault. Gabby Nebiker(MW) placed 4th at 8′ 6″ Genevieve reilly(Warwick Valley) 8’0″ and Kayla Maas(Eldred) 8′ 0″ for the green and gold!! The Boys Section was a Saturday afternoon ‘Fun-Fest’…as Washingtonville HS senior Andy Ruebenstahl winning gold at 13′ 0″ on his new poles…Matt DeLorenzo(Wallkill) taking silver at 13′ 0″ and Warwick Valley junior..Isaac Heatley making his state trip at 12’9″. Top Soph honors went to Warwick Valley’s Dane Sorensen…a first year vaulter with a PR 12′ 6″ leap..Josh Jeong(MW) 12′ 0″ Vinnie DePaolo(MW) 12′ )” Chris Endrezzi(MW) 11′ 0″ Kniernan McCarthy(VC) 10′ 0″ and Brendan McShane(Warwick Valley) 10′ 0″ .

    College News….. MEGAN” Flips” CLARK (Duke University) soared to the ACC title with her 14′ 10″ jump and in perhaps her most consistent indoor season ever… James Steck(Va Tech) placed 5th with a 16′ 9.5″ fly-over Coach Phillips. Peter Fagan(Binghamton University) hit his new PR last week with a 17′ 3.5″ sail…pictured here at Take-Off with Hands Up and Chest Driven!!!!!

    SEC CHAMPS at Arkansas… Former CornwallHS pole vault star… Ariel LaChance never gave up on her dream..leaped 13”1″personal best in her senior year.

    BIG EAST CHAMPS… Freshman Catherine Walker9Villanova University) placed silver at 12′ 6″ at Ocean Breeze on Saturday..

    IVY LEAGUE…. Here is a story that will warm your hearts… Harvard University senior Lexi Schachne (Staples,CT) has battled a hamstring injury for the past 4 years..returned to place 3rd at IVY CHAMPS with her 12′ 5.5″PR!!!! Grace Shadid (Columbia University) placed 7th at 11′ 9.75″!

    MAAC CHAMPS…at the Armory… Manhattan University junior Marissa Robbins won the vault with her 12′ 6.5″ clear and meet record!!! Bre Brucher(Manhattan) 10′ 10″ and Maddessen Weekes(Manhattan) 10’ 4″‘ Winning the Men’s Vault was Rider University junior..Erik Adamcik at 15′ 3″ !!!

    SUNY AC CAHAMP..at Brockport… Whitman Oehler-Marx(Brockport) won the gold at 15′ 9″ Matt Greenlaw(Cortlandt) 12′ 9″ and Jess Wheeler)Brockport) 11′ 0″ Dana Rokicsak(Geneso) 10′ )”

    LAST CHANCE @ OCEAN BREEZE… Joe Crispi(Wagner University) won at 15′ 3″ Chris Guglielmo(TCNJ) 14′ 9″ and Bre Brucher(Manhattan) 11’ 1.75″!!!!

    It was the 109th MILLROSE GAMES ….. and perhaps…”The Best Ever” …. Thank you all for supporting this weekends 109th NYRR MILLROSE GAMES at The New Balance Track & Field Center,NYC. The sold out…standing room only crowd was filled with inspiring athletes of all ages and enthusiastic track fans from the Flying Circus and beyond … to ring in the “Olympic Year Spirit”….. Every event stacked… from youth age Rising Stars to Olympic Champions…competing with full efforts and pride. We salute all participants. On to the next level.

    NYRR MILLROSE GAMES…
    Thursday Evening Jr. Boys Pole Vault…. Greg Potter…a Junior representing VaultWorX,PA soared to the gold with his 14′ 10PR for Coach Matt Concannon. Flying Circus/Warehouse Junior Liam Ackerman took home the silver with his 14′ 3.25″ sail and Top Soph honors came from Johannes Stronhaug at 14′ 3.25″ for Coach James Cerra. Flying Circus/Philly Jumps Nick Marino sailed big over 14′ 3.25″ and is ready for this weeks PA State Meet in State College!!! PA Soph Quarterback star ,Payton Morris sailed 14′ 3.25″ for VaultWorx..in only his 5th month of vaulting !!!! Amir Abdelnaky(Vertical Assault finished at 13′ 3.5″…Charles Crispi(You Can Not Fail Vault Club) boomed over 13′ 3.5″ for Coach Cahill and Dylan Scranbani(Flying Circus) look great making 13′ 3.25′ on borrowed poles. NJ State Indoor NPA Champ..Peter Chen did not start due to State Meet.

    Saturday Afternoon Jr. Girls Pole Vault….. This day belonged to North Carolina Indoor State Vault Champion…Chesney Ward..representing Vaulthouse,Greensboro,NC ..coached by Eric Morell. Chesney flew over 12′ 11.5″ first jump to win her MILLROSE GAMES GOLD MEDAL and FLOWERS!!!! This humble and gracious athlete has committed to Duke University net fall. Also flying 12′ 11.5″ was junior Becky Arbiv of Pole Vault Atlanta,GA. Coached by Hal Fairbanks…former Rochester,NY legend. Placing third was junior Katie Jones of VaultWorx,PA. with a personal best of 12′ 11.5″ for Coach Concannon. Also soaring BIG ALL DAY was the 7- Time Alabama State Champion..Margaret Ollinger,Mobile,ALabama…at 12′ 11.5″!!!! Placing 5th was our own..Tedi DeMaria(Flying Circus) with her 12′ 1.5″ sail and very close bars at 12′ 7.5”. Rachel Finn(Vertical Assault) cleared 11′ 7.5″ and Nathalie Elliot(VaultWorX) made 11′ 1.75″ Amanda McNeilis(NY) was solid and just a junior. Junior Michelle Rubinetti(Flying Circus) won her NJ State Group II Pole Vault Title in Toms River on Saturday morning with her team.

    Saturday Late Afternoon… INVITATIONAL ELITE WOMEN’S VAULT …. It was another historical Pole Vault Day at Millrose Games….. as former Flying Circus Club Super-Star..Megan Clark(Duke University) delighted the Vault Fans with her booming speed and height over 14′ 9″ and super close bars at 15′ 1″ for Coach Shawn Wilbourn. Megan heads to ACC Championships next week in Boston!!!!

    SECTION 2 STATE QUALS…VAULT FIREWORKS!!!! NY Section 2 also made some history last week..with 3 Girls sailing the 12 Foot Barrier together…. Burnt Hills,NY.. senior Kalli Manley won the gold..with a lifetime best of 12’0″ in the Saratoga Springs HS Gym at Section 2 Championships. This speedy and dedicated all-around athlete never gave up on her dream and is coached by Flying Circus’s Stephanie Duffy. Tedi DeMaria(Bethlehem,NY) also had a wonderful day with her 12′ 0′ sail for silver for Coach Ashley Gansel … Alana Carroll…just a sophomore at Averil Park,(NY) complete the Circus Sweep with her break thru 12′ 0″ School Record !!!!

    SECTION 9 CLASS A CHAMPIONSHIPS…. West Point was the venue… as The Warwick Valley Purple Wave Boys team won the team title for Coach Mike Potter and Curtis Acaki over NFA in a tightly contested match of speed…endurance and strength. Taking gold(and 10 points) was Wallkill,NY senior Matt DeLorenzo at 13′ 0″…Isaac Heatley(Warwick) placed 8 points at 12′ 6″…Vinnie DeLaolo(MW) brought in 6 points at 12′ 0′..Dan Sorensen(Warwick) added 4 points to the Wave at 11′ 6″ Andy Rubestahl(Wash) 11′ 6″ Chris Endrizzi(MW) 11′ 0″ Matt Warren(Wash) 9′ 6″ completed Circus action. for Boys Division. In the Girls meet that followed..it was a super night in 3 events for Super-Soph..Kristen Lubeski of Monroe Woodbury,NY.. Coming off great performances in the 300meter and triple jump..this “team-girl” picked up her vaulting poles for more points and brought in 10 points for the Champion Ctrusaders with her 10′ 0″ win..Freshman team mate Gabby Nebiker placed 8 points at 9′ 6′ Warwick Valley 8th grader Genevieve Reilly place 3rd at 7’6″ and new kid on the vault pole..Kali Thompson(Warwick) placed 4th at 7’0″in her first vault meet !!!!

    NEW JERSEY STATE CLASS CHAMPIONSHIPS… CIRCUS VAULTERS WIN 4 STATE TITLES!!!

    Outstanding performances came out at the Toms River Complex on Saturday..as 10 Girls and 10 Boys advance to next weeks Meet of Champions from the Flying Circus !!!! Congratulations to all athletes!!!
