Here we go again……… CHAMPIONSHIP POLE VAULTING has arrived at Flying Circus!!! It’s peaking time on Fiberglass and our Circus Athletes have responded to the call. Our next 23 weeks will be fun and worth all the 6 months of work you all put in to arrive at the scene with this great vibe. CONFIDENCE is a strong attribute in our pole vault event and all the drills…all the days…all the moments are now connecting to the best time of the indoor season. You all earned this position… now… ….it’s YOUR TIME!!!!!
* New Jersey Groups @ Toms River Sports Bubble…. Hats off to our 3 New State Group Pole Vault Campions this past weekend…. Conor Reilly of Union Catholic making pole vault history..with his 4th CONSECITIVE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP Gold in the Non=Public A Division. This Lehigh University bound gymnastic star is one of the Circus All Time Humble Athletes. Join Him in the Gold Medal Circue was Senior,,Marisa DiGia of NV-Old Tappan..with her Group 3 win at 12′ 1″ for the University of Maryland star. Taking her third NJ State Group pole vault gold was Grace Kellogg of Eastern Christian at with her 10′ 3″ win in Non-Public B Division !!! Congratulations all … Perhaps the biggest story was that of Sophomore Max Zuckerman of Pascack Hills,NY…with his Soph Record of 15′ 0″ for Coach Ross Koehler.(Full Results below)
* NY State Section 9 @ West Point ~~~~~ In one of America’s Oldest and Storied Rich Field House setting… it was another strong showing on the pole vault runways for both Boys and Girls on Friday night. The Girl;s started the fire with Alicia Johnson of Monroe Woodbury taking the gold at 10′ 9″PR for the former Kids Gym Gymnastic champion. …. 8th Grade NY State Record holder Lily Beattie (Warwick) sailed 10′ 3″ from her long run on bigger poles and team mate Caroline Fatta(Warwick) advanced with her 10′ 3″ clear before she had to go to her relays… Super 7th Grader…Rachel Venter(Warwick) upped her own State 7th Grade performance to 10′ 0″ and moves to USA#1 for 7th graders!!!
The Boys was a shootout..filled with high flying and personal bests at Gillis ‘s Fast Runway. Wallkill,NY junior..Louis Martinwz flew 15′ 0″ to take gold and club mate Nick Mirecki follwed up his Hurdle win ..with his 15′ 0″ vault for silver. Noah Brown(New Paltz) punched his State Meet ticket with his 13′ 0″ jump for Coach Dylan Scranbini. The most impressive sights were that of friendships and sportsmanship displayed by every Vaulter in this high powered meet. (Full Results below) .
