   Great opening weeks of spirit and sportsmanship were on display on the pole vault runways and a time to celebrate our many gifts. It’s hard to believe our blessings. 

  * The Armory is the magic place for athletics.   There is no other match for the motivational environment created on 168th  Street and Fort Washington Avenue in New York City.  As you climb the three flights of stairs.. you begin to feel the TRADITION of this historic masterpiece built in 1906.  You become the next chapter in this storybook of friendships and common fellowship.   Leave. your finest efforts there and enjoy every trip with gratitude. 

  * Recoil @  Armory December 20….  the 21 athletes showed competitive spirit all night…. with new school records..personal and seasonal bests and fun together. Leading the pack. was. Luke “Rocket” Beattie(Warwick Valley) with his meet record. 16′ 0″ vault and fast anchor on 4 x 200 Relay. He had. 1 choose bar at the NY State Record at 17′ 2″… …. Pompton Lakes,NJ strongman..Owen Keating flew 15′ 6″ school record and brushed off. 16′ 0″ on his big poles. Julian Lynch(Fordham Prep) also hit the rafters with a booming 15’6′ SB for Coach Jerry Cahill . Todd Korman(Suffern) made 14′ 0″ for Coach Boraczyk and closer to that old school record!!! He split fast on winning 4×200 Relay win. Klaus Lindenau(Warwick)  made 13′ 6″..Chris Bustamante(FP) 13′ 0″.  Justin Digga(Suffern) 12′ 3″…Anthony Roe(Warwick) 12′ 3″  Seamus Corcoran(Pope John,NJ) 9′ 9′.

   The Girls were ready for the night…… with Rachel Venter(Warwick) taking the spotlight at 12′ 0″ and close bar at 12′ 7″PR…. Jenna Monaco(Dumont) was spectacular in vault at 11′ 0″.  and 55  Hurdles 8.47 School Record.  Jamie Kim(Old Tappan) was sharp over 11′ 0″…. Madeline Magliaro(Trinity)   the Cornell University signee made 11′ 0″. big from a longer run… Zoe Levitt(Bronx Science) 10′ 0 …. Salome Sanchez(Old Tappan) 10′ 0″.  Sophie Kumar(Edgmont) 10′ 0″. Anna Riskin(Suffern) 9’3″PR… Madelyn Duong(BS) 8′ 0″. Madison Tierny(Pope John) 8′ 0″. In the Unattached Club Section.. Sarah Shipton(Crestwood) won the gold. at 10′ 6″ for Coach Duffy… Liliana Coe(Delaware Valley) 10′ 6″…Tomara Seid(Abington Heights) 10′ 0″. Evelyn Kruczek(Crestwood) 9′ 3″ and Ellie Schardein(Pitston) 8′ 0″

  * JamBar Coaches Hall of Fame Meet at the Armory on Saturday was all Minisink Valley High School glory..  Taking the gold in the Boy’s section was senior..Logan Schupner. at 14′ 6″… followed by teammate Tyler  Cloidt at 10′ 11′ 0″. Jesse Berman(Bronx Science) 8′ 0″. The Girls section was won by Minisink Valley..Junior…delila Kronimus at 11′ 0″.  and very close bar at 11′ 11′ for coach Doug Schupner.  The small School section had Sophia Kumar win at 10’0″.  ain Boys..Ben Malone(Pascack Hills) placed 3rd. at 10′ 6″

  *  Armory Yount Series… seventh-grader… Bryce Leslie of West Milford was the gold medal winner in the 13-14 Division. at 7′ 6′ .  Jonathan Andrade(West Milford) won the 55 Hurdles at 8/54 PR!!!

  * North Shore Invitational @ Armory(Dec. 23)……  Rachel Venter(Warwick Valley)…the North Carolina University signee. won the gold.  at 11′ 6″ and close bar at 12′ 0″. and Circus Teammates Stell;a Scherbak(Monroe) placed. silver at 11′ 6″ SB and Madeline Magliaro(Trinity) at 11′ 6′ SB.  The Boys of Warwick Valley. went. gold & silver… as Luke Beattie won at 15′ 0. from short run.. Klaus Lindenau(Warwick Valley) placed.  silver at 14′ 0′ from long run. and Miles Macklin (Danbury). went. 12′ 6″. Luke  Beattie also cranked. 6.52 to tie for 55-meter dash gold.

   NEXT  : The Circus Pole Vault Train stops. at The Section 9 Holiday Invite on Friday evening( 6pm-10pm) December 27 at The Armory.
