    The 2019 NYRR MILLROSE GAMES continues to develop and promote the grass roots Junior Pole Vault Development Program for Boys and Girls again this year. The Three Jr. Pole Vault Events on this years program are loaded with exciting youth stars , ready to take the spotlight at The New Balance Track Center Armory . Special thanks to Meet Director Ray Flynn …for bringing this International Field together for some high flying fun.

    ARKANSAS VAULT CLUB Leads STRONG JR.VAULT FIELDS.

    The legendary Arkansas Vault Club..Coached by Morry Sanders has it’s Top three vaulters ready to fly the third floor rafters in both the Boys Millrose Jr Championship Vault at 11.45am on Saturday..February 9 and the Girls Jr.Championship Vault at 2:08pm.
    The Boys Top seed is USA#1 HAZE FARMER(Pearcy,Arkansas)(AVC) with his 17′ 5″ this indoor season for the Decathlon champion. heading to the University of Georgia next fall. Team mate Rhett Nelson((Texarkana,Arkansas)AVC) is also ready with his 17′ 0″ this season in the 10 athlete International field that also includes Swedish Youth Champion , Carl Af Foresllesf of Stockholm. Boys Jr.Pole Vault Event Record….Armand Duplantis,Lafayette,Louisiana .. 18′ 10.25 (2017).

    The Girls Jr. Championship Pole Vault is deep and talented and takes to the ‘Fastest Pole Vault Runway’ on the planet on Saturday in prime time 2:08pm . The 10 Jr Girls will be led by Arkansas Vault Club’s Edie Murray (Pearcy,AR) , a 13′ 6.5″ vaulter heading to the University of Arkansas next fall. Swedish Youth Stars..Alva Sundlin(Stockholm,Sweden) and Sandra Alvero(Stockholm,Sweden) will add an International touch to the event again this year.     New Balance …..Girls Sweep Top Three.. Kaeli Thompson 13′ 0″…Sydney Woods 12′ 6….. Dani Heine 12′ 0″!!! Dalton Yeust Flys 13′ 6 School Record!!!!
    The winter storm alert did not hold back the determined “Flyers” on Friday and Saturday at Tim Fulton’s New Balance Games at the “Hall of Fame” Armory. Kaeli Thompson produced her 5th Meet record this indoor season with gold medal vault of 13′ 0″ on her ESSX 13’7′ x 170 Recoil and the was close at 13′ 6″ with her 14 Foot Sticks… Sydney Woods was on fire big over 12′ 6″ for silver and Abington Heights,PA senior Dani Heine flew 12′ 0″ on her new polesto equal her indoor school record for Coach Mike Ludka. Hendrick Hudson ..Haley Merchant jumped 8′ 6″ and Freshman.. Angelisse Diaz of Newburgh Free Academy won the Freshman Division at 8′ 6″ for a seasonal best. The Boys NB Championship Division belonged to Iona Prep senior Louis Logsdail at 14′ 6″ by a ton!!! Placing the silver medal in his pocket ..was the up-and-coming strongman…Dalton Yeust of Tunkhannock,PA. Using his 7 Step approach from the start of the meet and his Big-Boy Poles… Dalton fly to his new Indoor School record of 13′ 6″ and close bars at 14′ 0″. Tommy Qualter of Clarkstown South hit 13′ 0 for Coach Madoferi …Dave Murphy(New fairfield) 12′ 0″… Mike Moore(Warwick) 11′ 0″ Jacob Becher(Warwick) 11’0″ Merlin Beaufils(Brooklyn Tech) 10′ 0″ Henry Pennella(Valhalla) 10′ 0″.

    New Jersey Relay Championships @ Toms River —- Conor Reilly Flys 15’0″ Again!!!!! Union Catholic,NJ junior Gymnast turned pole vaulter Conor Reilly used his long run at the NJ Relay Championships to win at 15′ 0″ =School Record!! Team mate Abadare Animashaun cleared 12′ 0′ for the 18 points for Union. Four Circus girls placed in top 6.. with Hope Handlin (Union Catholic) soarsing 11’0′ for the gold and ever so close bar at 11′ 6″… Mary Flahive(Holy Angels) 9′ 0..Isabella Gray(Union) 9′ 0″ and Kendall Williams(Holy Angels) at 7′ 6″. In Group 1 Division… Kyle Russell og Mountain Lakes 10′ 6″ and Alex Mozsolits(ML) 9′ 6″ for Coach Jim Murnane.

    In Connecticut this week… Congrats to Paige Martin of Norwich Free Academy with her 11′ 7″ National Qualifier for Coach Ross VanSteeg and Elise Russell is coming-on-strong for Coach Matt Medeve at Weston..with her 11′ 0″ big Clear… Madison Martin is revying it up also at 10′ 6″ and Katie Ryuan(Newtown) at 9′ 6″….. The Boys saw Aidan O’Connor of Lewis-Mills win the Yale Invite at 13′ 6″ poles. Over at the SCC Coaches meet.. Darien,CT senior scholar—Kiernan Daley flew 13′ 0″ for a PR and team mates Xander Zanin hit 10′ 0″ and Alex Jones(D) made 9′ 0″ for FCIAC qualifier.

    College Notes… Dane Sorensen had another super college meet at Cornell..placing 3rd at 14′ 3.5″ for the Red Dragons of Cortland University…. and at Lehigh University…it was Sophomore Madisyn Hawkins(Lehigh) taking gold at 12′ 3.5″..and Caitlin Reverand(Lehigh) adding points to the team win at 10′ 6″ for the Mountain Hawks vs Layafette Dual.
