    Due to Snow—Ice— and Sub 5 Degree Temps heading our way…. We are CLOSING FLYING CIRCUS on Sunday ..January 20 and Monday ..January 21 . Our goal is to keep everyone safe the next few days. We will treat this as active rest and recovery at mid-season…. We will re-open on Tuesday January 21 with our regular scheduled Winter Classes. Many thanks.     “VAULT FIREWORKS” @ Ocean Breeze …… It was all business in the pole vault and other field events at the BIG NORTH INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS last night….with LIAM LANDAU of Pascack Hills,NJ setting a New Meet/School/Bergen County All-Time Indoor Pole Vault record vault of 15′ 9″ for the Cowboys of Pascack Hills…coached by Ross Koehler. This is just one part of the magnificent night for Liam Landau, the Northeast University recruit. This powerful and speedy senior leader won ALL FOUR of his events in super performances… He won the 55m Hurdles in 8.04…then…the Long Jump at 21′ 4″ then the High Jump at 6′ 0″ ..and then Pole Vault at1 5′ 9″RECORD!!! Thats…right… 40 TEAM POINTS!!!!!! Pole Vaulters can do many different events!!!!! Placing second was Mahwah,Nj senior…Justin Manne at 13’6″ SB for the Thunderbirds of Caoch Rob Pasek. Team mate Reece Muller was solid at 11′ 0″ to score. West Milford Highlander…Mateo Zemer…just a junior..won the Independent Division at 12′ 6″ and was fast in 55m Dash at 6.98 for third. The Patriot Division winner was Elan Krakow of Tenafly at 11′ 6″!!

    The Girls Championships was another Multi-Event night for Northern Valley-Demarest pole vault star..Sydney Woods. This UPENN recruit flew 12′ 0″ to win her speciality..then placed first in Long Jump at 16′ 0″…… 4’10” in High Jump and 3rd in Triple Jump 33′ 4′ forCoach Mike Ives and staff. She scored 30 TEAM POINTS!!!!!! We all must be more than just pole vault…as competing for your TEAM is THE ULTIMATE JOY!!!!!!! Jordan Hecker(NV-D) placed silver at 9′ 0″ and team mate Julia Tucci(NVD) placed 3rd at 9′ 0″..Allison Sumereau(Pascack Valley) 8′ 6″. Gold Medal winner in Girls American Division was Pascack Hills senior star…Jamie Rossig for the Lady CowGirls…This Long Jump/Pole Vault /Relay specialist launched 10′ 6″…Circus team mate Kyra Muller(Mahwah) took silver at 9′ 6′ and Selena Bonura(Mahwah) 7′ 0″.

    Our Winter Indoor Club Package ends in just 18 days on February 5th. We are proud to have helped 83 MS and HS Pole Vaulters this winter here at FLYING CIRCUS. Your progress and dedication has been inspiring and we look to continue to help you all with EVERYTHING POLE VAULT. Our groups held nothing back and were so very supportive of each other. We are to share in each other success. We will be opening up every Wednesday evening ..beginning Feb. 6 in a Co-Ed setting to help get everyone ready for the CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON of POLE VAULTING. Classes will be Session #1 5:30-7pm and Session #2 7-8:30pm. We also will be open every Sunday for Open Sessions(Except CLOSED SUNDAY FEB 10 for OCL INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS @ West Point).

    CIRCUS STAFF will be on staff at the March 23rd ARMORY TRACK & FIELD CAMP in the New Balance Track Center,.. Register today at armorycamp.org. It will be FUN!!!
