” POLE VAULT TOGETHERNESS” … That was the theme last night at the Boys & Girls eastern States Championships at the Armory on Dr.Sander Boulevard. The 42 Flying Circus Athletes made it a “TEAM EVENT ” again with sensational support in the pre event warm up .. .. the real time event competition support and post event festivities…. It’s sensational to watch yound kids support each other… CONGRATULATIONS to ALL 42 VAULTERS!!! On to the next challenges together!!!

ABBY NORWILLO(Pittston Area,PA) SETS NEW VAULT RECORD at 13′ .75″ in the deepest field of High School female vaulters EVER!!! This Pittston Area High School Scholar athlete ..bound for PENN UNIVERSITY next fall was clean on her first attempts thru 13′ 4″ and used her 8 step/big pole to break Leah Saifi’s record of 13′ .5″ set last year in this meet. It also is a new District II PA Indoor All Time Mark and School/Personal Best. She had 2 close bars at 13′ 4″ and heads to PA State Meet on Sunday. In total ..there were 17 Girls over the National Standard and 7 Girls over 12 Foot Barrier… True Fiberglass fireworks… The Circus had 4 New Vaulters make NB Nationals in the meet… Kristin Lubeski(Monroe,NY) 12′ 0″PR… Lauren Saifi(Gov.Liv) 11′ 7″PR….Lia Zavattaro(Greenwich,CT) 11′ 7’…..Trina Barcarola(Western Wayne,PA) and Caroline McGann(Holy Angels,NJ) 11′ 7″ PR !!! In the Boys shotout..it was another sensational night for Charles Crispi of Farrell,NY and You Can Not Fail Vault Crew od Coach Jerry Cahill.. Charles won gold at 15′ 6′ and huge jumps at 16′ 0″ Tyuker Hrbek of Old Tappan placed second at 15′ 0″ for Coach JeffClark and team mate Seth Kricheff(OT) was big over 15′ 0″ also for 4th place medal… Super Sophomore Conor Reilly of Union Catholic continues to improve for the 3 week in a row.. with his 14′ 6″ PR leap.. Liam Mandau of Pascack Hills,NJ hit 14′ 0″ ffor the Cowboys and Josiah Spain(On’Neill,NY) sailed 14′ 0″ … Solid Bars– Dane Sorensen-Callunm Howald-Jona Kim-Jared Forer-Justin Manne.

Here she is… ALANA CARROLL…Senior at Averill Park,NY at her Section 2 Division II Championships on Sunday at the University of Albany Track & Field Bubble . This is a new Section 2,School and Flying Circus Club All-Time Vault record. The old record was set by NB National Vault Champion…Emily Savage of Weston ,Ct . at 13′ 2.5″ in 2013. This was Alana’s forth straight 13’+ jump this season and it’s the Flying Circus 6th Girl over the 13 foot Barrier!!!!! Alana will be vaulting at Harvard University next fall for Coach Brenner Abbot. CONGRATULATIONS ALANA … from your team mates and coaches @ Circus!!!!
