Armory Meet Track Director…Tim Fulton and Dream Big Athletics put together another .”.FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE VAULT ” gathering with The Jim Mitchell Invitational and our 18 Circus Vaulters enjoyed fling thru the holiday air and supporting each other all night. The very best part of the night was the friendship shared by every athlete…. not just our club athletes…but all athletes chasing their dreams…. Congratulations to all on a fun night and Happy Holiday!!!!

The Girls flew first.. yes.. almost 40 girls taking to the fast Mondo runway…with USA#2 Vaulter..Abby Norwillo of Piston Area,PA sailing to the winners’ interview after the dust had settled with her New Meet and Indoor School Record of 12′ 8″ and ever so close at 13′ 1″ for this humble speedster heading to UPENN next fall. After clean clearing 13′ 0″ in her warm up..she handled her biggest pole of the early year(165) to the max for a meet and school record.. She returns next Friday for Marine Corp Armory meet!!! Warwick Valley,NY junior…Kaeli “Sparkie” Thompson placed second with her 12′ 0″ zoom over and close bars at 12′ 8″ for this USA # 4 Purple Wave… Melissa Purcell of Pascack Valley.NJ Indians cleared huge over 11′ 0″ for third and Abington Heights,PA junior Dani Heine crushed all her new poles from eight steps placed fourth at 11’0″ and Kaia Becher (Northern Highlands,NJ) set her new school indoor record at 10’0″PR for the fifth place for this energized senior. Gabby Lepe(White Plains) 7′ 0″ Molly Palma(Bronxville) 7′ 0″ Sophia Felix(Pope John) 7′ 0″ Jules Gravier(Bronxville) 7′ 0″ Ava DeFelice(Cornwall) 7′ 0″ Bridgette Inserra(Northern Highlands) 7′ 0″……

The Boys took over the runway late…and the holiday vault fireworks lasted to 10:30pm… as Warwick Valley,NY senior pole vault specialist…Dane Sorensen finally entered the FIFTEEN FOOT CLUB at Warwick Valley… with his last jump sail over 15′ 0″ for the event win for Coach Mike Potter’s Purple Wave Vaulters!!! Dane’s summer work ethic and fall season dedication prevailed for this pole vault leader……. Conor Reilly of Union Catholic,NJ also came up big ..as her hit 13′ 6″ PR for TOP SOPH in NJ this winter..Team mate Obadare Animashaun(UC) hit 11′ 0″PR Jacob Becher(Warwick Valley) 9′ 6′ and Lucas Khowayko(Northern Highlands,NJ) 9′ 6″ !!! Special thanks to Coach Doug Heine for helping coach all vaulters…all night!!!
