The High Point University bound communications major… will be on the score card Friday Night at Friendship Games in Warwick,NY. All American Decathlon star..Tim Schanstra(Pope John,NJ) set a personal best at 13′ 1″… Matt Greenlaw(W) 10′ 6″ ..Adam Hurwitz(F) 10′ 6″ Isaac Heatly(W) 10 0″PR-Freshman…. Jake Corti(W) 10′ 0″ Josh Heimers(F) 10′ 0″PR Dan Lindstrom(W) 8′ 0″

    In the BIG NORTH NJ Division on Thursday night… history was made by Old Tappan,NJ pole vaulter Luke Annichiarico…with his 15′ 4.5″ NEW BERGEN COUNTRY All Time Record !!! The “Golden Knight” won the tight team battle 174-167 over rival Demerest!!! Luke is Wake Forest University bound next fall!!!
    The Crusader Relays at Monroe-Woodbury,NY was another classic success with Travis Fountain(Monroe,NY) winning the vault at 13′ 6″ followed bt Ivan Mieses(Midd) 13′ 0″ Illich Andino(Midd) 12′ 6″ Matt Leanza(Suffern,NY) 12′ 0″ Chris Bains(NFA) 11′ 0″ Matt Carl(K) 10′ 0″ Ed Lopez(MW) 9′ 0″… In Frosh/Soph action in the morning…Andrew Matta(NFA) soared 12′ 0″ for gold and Andy Rubenstahl(Wash) hit 10′ 0″ for silver for Coach White!!!
    Adam Hurwitz(Fallsburg) sailed 12′ 0″ on Thursday in COMETLAND…and his sister Meagan set a new school vault record at 8′ 6″…to keep the vault records all in the family!!! Pat Lynch(Cranford) vaulted 14′ 0″ for the 3 week in a row and close at 15′ 1″..Danny Hannen(Cranford) made 11′ 6″ for the team silver relay medals!!!

    Girls Highlites…..Darien.CT junior Maddie Schneider set the meet record at the Middletown Invite at 12′ 2″ and took close bars at Robin Bones School Record of 12′ 6.5″. She is now qualified for Greensboro Nationals!!
    Across the border…it was the dynamic ” Crusader Vault Duo “…Samantha Beyar and Catherine Walker taking center vault stage. Samantha set all time Personal best of 12′ 1″ for gold and Catherine hit 11′ 6″ comeback seasonal best for silver…(Walker also triple Jumped 36’1″ for Purple Pride. RC Ketchum.NY senior Leah Wachsmuth hit 11′ 0″ Cara Kelly(Vernon,NJ) set school recod at 10′ 6″..Kat VanLedtje(Corn) made 9′ 6″ and Lexi Finn scored at 8′ 6″ for Monroe. Sophomore Samantha Kaplan(New Paltz,NY) set meet record of 10′ 0″ and near bars at school record 10′ 4″ for Coach Gregory’s fiber- squad.

    Brian Ahearn Classic Girls was deep in performance… with Pope John,NJ junior Katlyn Rymarzow going BIG-AIR over 11′ 7″ to take the New Jersey pole vault sesonal lead. Katlyn also hit 16.0 in hurdles and 15′ 6″ LJ and 4×400 Relay duty. Warwick Valley ,NY junior Erin Leahey had a sensational meet..with second in vault 10′ 7″ fast 800m Run and fast 4×400 Relay for Coach Furst’s Purple wave. She near missed 11′ 1″…Lenape Valley senior Kari Murnane was just as sensational at 11′ 1″…4×100 Relay and triple/long jump points. Kari has signed with the University of New Hampshire for the fall semester!! Carolan Frisina(Syosset) flew 9′ 6′ Meagan Hurwitz(F) hit 7′ 0″ Laura Smith (LP) 7’0″ Kalli Seastrand(F) 6′ 0″ …

    Colonie Relays…..Kara Snyder(Colonie,NY) has just started up her spring season…following team all event duties the past 5 weeks… won her hometown invitational in vault at 10′ 6″ and sophomore Kalli Manley(B-H,NY) flew 10′ 0″ for Coach Button’s Maroons!! Kalli Manley soared 11′ 3″ last week at Luciano Invite in Hudson Falls!!! At O’Grady Relays last week…Jane Wall(Weston,CT) is caring on the vault tradition for Coach Medve..with her 11′ 0″ win… followed by Rachel Moronek® 10′ 0″ Hannah Campos(W) 8′ 6”..     College News…. Jordan Yamoah scales 17’2″ this weekend in winning the Lone Star Conference meet for Coach Dall… Nate Hiett(Albany) soared 16′ 8.75 for Coach Metzer…Alfonso Scannapiecio 15′ 9″ and Peter fagan 15′ 9″ for third for Coach thompson.

    The Greatest Track Meet on the Planet took place at Franklin Field this weekend and the cool temperatures and gusting winds could not hold back the spirited efforts of FLYING CIRCUS athletes. The tough pole vault conditions kept a lid on Elite Results for all three days of competition…but Samantha Beyar( Monroe-Woodbury,NY -Junior)……. coming off her New Balance EE Indoor Nationals super meet in mid-March…she again turned up vertical for a forth place finish in a personal best 11′ 11.75 ” for the Purple Pride Crusaders. Samantha battled the winds with her 13’1″ UCS Spirit and 12′ 7″ grip and took 2 great attempts at 12′ 3.5″ in the final group. Also producing in the unfavorable conditions was Katlyn Rymarzow(Pope John,NJ) and Maddie Schneider(Darien,CT) both at 11′ 1.75″ and close at 11′ 8.5″!!!
    In the Saturday morning Boys HS Championship…Old Tappan,NJ senior Luke Annichiarico soared 14′ 9.25″ for a 6th place finish and Travis Fountain(Monroe-Woodbury,NY) sailed 13′ 9.25″ for Coach Hemmer/Coach Glover Foundation. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL VAULTERS!!!

    …Cranford,NJ pole vault star..Pat Lynch produced a gold medal performance at the Millburn Relays with a fly-over at 14′ 0″ on his BIG POLE and then brushed off 15′ 1″ on his last attempt. The Notre Dame bound sprinter never gave up his faith in his ability!!!! Team mate Dan Hannen cleared 10’0″ for the Relay runner up medals and Peter Festante(Governor Livingston,NJ) made 12′ 6″ and team mate Ferris Harrison made 11′ 6″.

    …Bouncing up high on Saturday was Junior Katlyn Rymarzow of Pope John,NJ. The hurdler/vaulter equalled the Meet vault record with her 11′ 6″ jump for the win…followed by Lenape Valley,NJ multi-sport star ..Kari Murnane and Nicole Sarano(Pope John,NJ) and Emily Phalon(Pope John)

    All-Around Track star has focused her sights on the Pole Vault this spring. The All State Gymnastic Star flew a school record 11′ 0″ this week and near missed at 11′ 3″ on all attempts for the sophomore sprinter/hurdler/jumper. She also hit 34′ 7.5″ PR in Triple Jump the same day!!!!

    ALFONSO SCANNAPIECO (Albany) hits 16; 6.75″” @ PENN!!!
    Albany University Multi-Event junior Alfonso Scannapieco placed 3rd in the Wind Tunnel at Franklin Field on Saturday before a roaring 52,000 Track Nuts……and Peter Fagan(Binghamton) looks sharp at 15′ 11″ for Coach Mike Thompson in the Eastern Vault…Tim Murphy(UCONN) also looked great over 15′ 11″ for the Huskies!!!!!
