BRIAN AHEARN.  Sensational performances lite up the night in every event.  Thank you athletes for running..jumping. and throwing in his. name.

 

The past three days have produced. 5 New School Records in the Pole Vault … 15  Vault PR’s. and. SUPER TEAM SPIRIT in our. event.     Yes… the Train is leaving-the-station…… Punch your  PR TICKET the next 6 weeks. of this. season!!!!!!!!!
  LILY BEATTIE(Warwick Valley). Sophomore. cranked. 25.6 in her Sprint Medley Relay. and then. flew. 12′ 1″ PR. for the gold medal in the vault and team mate…RACHEL VENTER(Warwick Valley) ..Freshman cleared. 11′ 7(=PR) for silver and. hit the Super State Standard for the NY State Meet next month in Syracuse.  LUKE BEATTIE(Warwick Valley)..Just an  8th grader  from Warwick Valley Middle..took home the Boys section of Pole Vault. with his 12′ 1″(=PR) effort on his biggest poles so far this spring. EMMA KEATING(Pompton Lakes,NJ). Junior—flew. 12′ 0″ for her new school record and her brother Owen Keating(Freshman).  set school freshman record of 11′ 6″ for the win in Boys division.  JULIA LAZO(Crestwood,PA)…senior..Coached. by Bob Sorensen…flew. 11′ 9″ PR this week and close bar at 12′ 0″ for this District 2 Class 2 all-around. athlete.  RACHEL MASON(High Point,NJ)..senior… sailed. 12′ 0″ this week again  for the UCONN  signee on her biggest 13′ 1 ESSX RECOIL!!!!  MICHELLE LEE(NV-Demarest,NJ). sizzled over  11′ 6″ for her Conference.  win for this Columbia University recruit coached. this winter by Coach Duffy.  ANGELISSE DIAZ(NFA)..senior… Set her school again with her 10′ 3″ dual meet win for.  this UALBANY signee.  DANE SORENSEN(Cortland University) won  the pole vault. at conference at 15′ 9:  for the Red Dragons of Coach Steve Patrick. Dane.  will be one of the lead instructors at this year CIRCUS SUMMER CAMPS(July 2-6).  ABBY NORWILLO(UPENN) Senior…finished. her HEP career on a. sensational note. with her 12′ 11.75. second place  at IVY CHAMPS at Yale.

 In 1974 at Warwick Valley Central….. 5 tough guys. showed. up for. the  first     Cross Country practice of the season. at C.Ashlet Morgan field. These trailblazers were all about wanting to push their human limits in training and competition. Coming into. the. season that year. from the 0-16 record from the previous year…it. was  truly a rebuilding situation. Our goal was. to win 1 meet and train like “CHAMPIONS EVERY DAY”.      They ran and raced. for. each other the entire. season… never letting up  in grinding each day.. and never let anyone down. They refused. to miss. a. single day of practice together.  They ran hard. for those “SEVEN LETTERS” on the. front of their  jersey. The TEAM was. the only focus . No one. in Orange County knew their names before the season started.     They ran for respect……they ran. for WARWICK…. and on the. back-of-their training shirts…. they choose to be printer…”YOU GOTTA’ BELIEVE”.
   

This illustrates the Power of BELIEVING in YOURSELF…YOUR TRAINING and YOUR TEAM MATES.  So it is at this mid-season cross road…… YOUR FINEST MOMENTS TOGETHER ARE JUST AHEAD….YOU GOTTA’ BELIEVE.

Close bars at 13′ 7″!!!  Tyler Hrbek(UCONN). wins. the college  section at  Penn Relays….Dalton Yeust(Monmouth) , The.  strong Tunhannock.PA sophomore. flew. 15′ 11.75. for silver. Abby Norwillo(UPENN) placed. second. at Penn College Women at 12′ 10.75″..Randi Conroy(Lehigh)  vaulter 11′ 11″. At Shippensburg Paul Kaiser Invite..Dane Sorensen flew 4.50. from short run for. the Cortland Red Dragons.   High School News—-  Lily Beattie(Warwick). was Top Soph at 126th Penn relays with her 11′ 8″. 4th place finish in challenging conditions….Rachel Venter(Warwick). was. solid at opening bar of 11′ 3″…   Max Zuckerman(Pascack Hills)  flew 14′ 5.5″ in Boys Championship !!!
