C~O~N~G~R~A~T~U~L~A~T~I~O~N~S. to our 23 Circus Vaulters today for a fun day of the fiberglass. You all put on a spirited show and it was a treat to watch you compete with that crossbar. You are off to a great. start for this indoor season.
It was a day of high level vaulting and produced 10 athletes reaching their personal bests ….. 4 new school records and another athlete qualifying for Nike Indoor Nationals (Maura Michalczyk-Dunmore,PA).
* Flight # 2. at 3:15pm was. sensational… as Seniors Lily Beattie(Warwick Valley,NY). and Senior Ellas Galloway(Pine Bush,NY) flew big over 13′ 0″ for personal bests. Both used their BIGGEST POLES. and HIGHEST GRIPS on their home facility. Lily won the countback gold, as both. were solid. bars. at 13′ 3″. Maia Perillo(John Jay,NY) had huge air all night. and Maura Michalczyk(Dunmore ,PA) clear Nike Nationals bar with 11′ 0″.
* Flight #1. at 1:15pm was. a preview of the future of our great event,,, with Junior. Sarah Shipton(Crestwood,PA) setting her indoor PR. with 10′ 6″ win. Sophomore Jenna Monaco(Dumont,NJ) was super over 10′ 0″ with. short poles.
* Taking honors in the Open Women’s. Division was Olivia DeBellis(Suffern,NY-) with her 11′ 6″ sail for gold..followed up by Albany University freshman….. Charlotte Moscovici(Hewitt,NY). at 10′ 0″.
* In the Middle School Division…. A future. star did shine…. Juleighanna Eldred of Waymart,PA put on a show.. This eighth-grade vaulter jumped 9′ 6″ personal best for Western Wayne Coach Bob Amos and. was. so close at 10′ 0″ on just her. 5-step approach. Placing second. was teammate Abbie Washine(Lake Ariel,PA) at 7′ 0″. (Full Combined results. below).
