  FLYING CIRCUS GIRLS HOLIDAY POLE VAULT MEET  December 20, 2020
  The Circus Girl are   starting  to ” BRING~the~HEAT” on the super-fast runways  in that  little old Barn in Warwick Valley.  Todays  Elite Level meet produced  some  unbelievabl  results  from  the  14 Gold Level Pole Vaulting group ….. The GIRLS of CIRCUS  threw up  12  PR’s… School  Records…. Biggest Poles  Ever…. and Tons-of-Fun all day..   The very best part of  the day belonged  to the  athletes who  refused  to leave the facility ..untill  EVERYONE  was finished.   This  supportive  concept is the basis  for  what  sport really should be  about……  TEAM…SPORTSMANSHIP…. and  a TOGETHER SUPPORT SPIRIT.  This is what we had  today…… this is  pure  sport.  Thank you all for setting  positive examples.

RECAP ——–CIRCUS GILS HOLIDAY CLASSIC

The action started with our  best 45 minute  dynamic  Warm Up of the Year.  In the High School Division… it was  Samantha Smith(Syossset,NY) taking the  RASPBERRY JOE TEA  prize home  with her  11′ 9″ PR/School  and Section Record. This  junior,Coached by Stephanie Duffy, was close at 12′ 3 bar on her  12′ 7″  x 125 ESSX. There were 12 Total PR’s in the meet  and Coach Greg Mirecki zoomed it out  to another PR…  50 family  friends  and 171 Views on  Live YouTube  Stream, with  some new graphics adding  to  the frenzy. Taking Joe Tea home in the Middle School Division was 8th grader..Rachel Venter at 10′ 9″  and close bar  at 11′ 3 State Class record.   Looking  super in the Womens Open Division was Megan Biscoglio of Southington,CT  wirh an  easy  sail over  10′ 3″  from short run approach.   More Meets  coming mid January…..  WE BE READY.

  “Knocking~the~Rust Off” ~~~~~   

Our  limited  15 Boys Holiday Classic  was  filled   with  adreline …spirit   and  high booming   fun today  at Flying Circus headquarters. Performing without  spectators…parents….siblings  and friends  was no problem thanks  to Greg Mirecki’s You Tube   streaming live service to keep us all COVID SAFE.   Competitors…..staff  and  volunteers were  all MASKED – UP  all day  to help bring the  curve down. It was   simply..wonderful  spirit  and sportsmanship on display during  the  two hour meet. Special thanks  to all volunteers for  a  super meet together.   

Taking  the 20 oz.  Bottle  of Raspberry JOE TEA  winning  prize in the High School division  was Wallkill,NY  senior  Louis Martinez at  15′ 3 clear   and  3 close bars  at 16′ 1″ . The  Boys Open division  JOE TEAM belonged  to “Hometown Hero”, Dane Sorensen (Warwick,NY)  at 14′ 3″ on his ESSX.   Top SOPH Award  goes  to Andy Cimino(Warwick,NY) at 12′ 9″ , as  each athlete represented  their  hometowns…not  their  High Schools.  Perhaps  the   most interesting  fireworks  came  from Albany HS  freshman…. Neil Howard(Albany,NY)  with his  four  PR’s   at 13′ 3″ for  TOP FROSH  status.   Neil near missed    at  the  New York State Freshman Class record at 13′ 9″ and moved  up  4 poles in this meet.!!!!!
