  The TRADITION……The CHAMPIONS…… “The LIST”

  As we celebrate the start of our  41st Year of Flying Circus Pole Vault .. we invite you to be a part of our deep TRADITION of Success. Here are just some of the stories and numbers from our dedicated and spirited athletes.

  Our club first took wings on the backs of  Warwick Valley pole vaulters, Dave Holt…Rudy Tomaselli and Brian Kittner in 1978 in a tiny gym vault set up in the Warwick Valley Middle School, NY. with Dave Holt soaring. 15′ 7″…Rudy Tomaselli 14′ 10″. and Brian Kittner. 13′ 6″  that year to kick off the Fiberglass Tradition in scenic Warwick Valley.

  The Official Flying Circus became a club for all area schools in 1985. Coach Hugh Cauthers(Monroe-Woodbury) joined Coach St(Warwick Valley) in offering pole vault instruction to everyone who needed safe and modern-day coaching and state-of-the-art facilities.   The Warwick Center Vault Barn opened its doors in 2004 to athletes in all  5 neighboring states and the rest is history.  Champions developed fast.

    Developmental Pole Vault  Instruction became the center focus of teaching.. … as team spirit…, a positive attitude and sportsmanship the key life goals. The Circus vault barn is now the hub of pole vault development on all levels….. .beginner–intermediate. and elite stage. Last season alone, our club reached out to 137 pole vaulters enjoying the positive atmosphere of instruction and motivation. We invite you to join us this coming year for some exciting fun and development.

  ” The All-Time List” at Flying Circus has been a tremendous MOTIVATIONAL  tool for our young and aspiring athletes. Located in the Barn on the West wall….. it serves as the inspiration for our new group of athletes taking up the challenge of Pole Vaulting.   The Boys List is loaded with CHAMPIONS…. with 3 Guys over 17 Feet….  12 more over 16 Feet… 44 guys over.  15 Feet. and a total of. 50 boys over 14’9″ + !!!!  They all started on Day 1 as Beginners!!!! 

  The Girls List is equally impressive and is stacked with State  and National Champions…. with 11 Girls over the 13′ Barrier… 20 more athletes over.  the 12′ 6″ bar…. 32 more over 12′ 0″. and  a total of 42 athletes over. 11′ 9″.   Who will be next on “The LIST” ?????
