The USATF JR. OLYMPIC AGE GROUP Association Championships were a” CRICUS of FUN ”
today at Litchfield High School,CT and at the world famous Icahn Stadium at Randalls Island,NY.
Under bright sunny skies at Icahn Stadium… Todd Uckermark(Warwick,NY) pushed onto his 15′ 7″ Spirit poles and soared high over 15′ 5″ for the gold medal in the Young Mens Division and advances to Regional Championships at Fitchburg State University,MASS next month. Team mate Derek DiBona(Warwick,NY) also enjoyed advancing with his runner-up 15′ 0″ leap off the fast Blue Mondo runway on his 15′ 7″ sticks!!! Placing third was Sophomore Andrew Matta(Newburgh,NY) at 12′ 0″. Both Todd and Derek will be Flying Circus Camp Assistants next week in VAULT-TOWN, USA!!!!!
Girls Sweep @ Icahn……Catherine Walker(Monroe,NY) and Samantha Beyar(Monroe,NY) completed the Girls 1-2 Sweep…as both juniors sizzled of 11′ 6″ and had great bars at 12′ 0″. Catherine joins Circus Camp and Samantha travels to Anthony Curren’s UCLA Pole Vault Camp next week.
Circus Vaulter..Dominque Beltez(Cortland Mannor,NY) exploded again in her 100m Hurdle win at 14.55(PR) and her Long Jump gold medal 17′ 10.25″ in the Young Women’s Division.
At Litchfield High School’s New Track & Field oval…Darien,CT junior Maddie Schneider put up a personal best vault of 12′ 4″ for the Gold Medal honors. She had 2 close bars at 12′ 7″ School Outdoor Record!!!! Maddie will jump in our Girls Vault Exhibition at Camp on July 3 AT-THE-BARN!!!
Also at Litchfield Open meet last week…James Schuler(HVFC) blasted over 15′ 3″ for a seasonal best and will help coach at camp next week.

The 8th FLYING CIRCUS SUMMER POLE VAULT CAMP BLAST is about to begin… Many thanks to all pole vaulters and parents for entering our CAMPS next week. We have a SOLD OUT group of “Pole Vault Nuts” that are ready to learn and improve and a super group of Elite Pole Vault Coaches waiting for the chance to work with you.
Campers should be dressed and ready for activity…including spikes… light snacks and drinks.
Campers should plan to arrive at 3:45pm and pick up is 8pm each day. All pole vaulting poles will be supplied by FLYING CIRCUS. Stay active this week and report to camp in shape. IT’s going to be…”ANOTHER VAULT BLAST” !!!!
