GET READY FOR THE RIDE…… The ‘ROLLER-COASTER’ has left the dock !!!
Another great week of training at Flying Circus culminated in some very good early season performances around the Tri-State area. Circus Vaulters pushed up their hands at take-off in Albany,Ithaca,West Point and New York City this weekend… the Fall Vault training program worked !!!!

BIG ARMORY VAULTS…. Congratulations to Monroe-Woodbury,NY senior Samantha Beyar..who won gold on Saturday with her 11′ 6″ for the Crusaders at the New Paltz Camp meet. Freshman Team mate Kristen Lubeskie placed 4th at 8′ 0″ Seraya Freidmen(MW) hit 7′ 0″ for Coach Goodwin. In the section1 meet..Kerry Qualter(CS) took silver at 8′ 0″..Vivian Mroz(Bxville) 8′ 0′..Alison Stern(CS) 8′ 0″ for the Vikings. New Rochelle,NY junior Devon Feuer placed 2nd at 8′ 6″ in Section 1 development meet for Coach Capellan.
The Boys at the Armory were also turning it up…as Iona Prep,NY Senior Matt Fay…coached by Jerry Cahill punched a personal best of 15′ 4″ for the win and moved up the Millrose Games Invite list!! Taking silver medal was Senior James Ball(Fordham Prep,NY) at 13′ 6″ and Liam Ackerman(St.Anthony,NY) 12′ 0″. Matt DeLorenzo(Wallkill,NY-junior) won New Paltz meet at 13′ 0″..Brandan Nebiker(Monroe,NY) also hit 13′ 0″ and Vinnie Depaslo(Monroe,NY) set his best at 11′ 0″ for the Crusaders. Suffern.NY senior Matt Leanza placed 1st at 12′ 6″ at Section 1 meet followed by Jeff Sanawong(Nanuet,NY) 11′ 0″ and Connor Burke(Pearl River,NY-Frosh) at 9′ 0″ .

WEST POINT MEETS… Gillis Fieldhouse @ West Point is a great place to vault…and Ivan Mieses(Middletown,NY) opened his season with 12′ 0″ fiber win for the Midddies…The Girls competition was close as Cornwall,NY senior Katarina VanLedtje edged Sophomore Colleen Leahey(Burke,NY) as both soared over 9′ 0″ as Leahey set another New School record for the Eagles … Andrea Dolan(Wallkill,NY) placed third at 8′ 0″.

BOMBER INVITE @ ITHACA,NY… Vestel,NY senior Kari Stromhaug had a sensational night in the new Ithaca University Track facility…with her 11′ 6″ pole vault win and her 5′ 4″ high jump win.

ALBANY AREA @ UNION COLLEGE ….. At the Union College unique and cozy Track & Field facility this weekend in multi meets the season started up big for Burnt Hills,NY junior Kalli Manley. The super fast and experienced young vaulter flew big over 11′ 0″ for the the gold medal win on Saturday late afternoon. She moves up to her new poles at Bishop Loughlin this Saturday. In the earlier section of vaulters…Tedi Demaria..the converted level 10 gymnastic specialist…on her first ever High School meet with a New School Record of 10′ 6″ for Coach Ashley Gansle. She also won the high jump at 4′ 10″ and returns at Bishop Loughlin Games on Saturday in Armory.

NICK MARINO FLYS 13′ 0″….Hatsboro,PA super soph..Nick Marino vaulter 13′ 0″ for a personal best fo LOJO ASSULT CLUB and returns to the Barn on December 27 for our last indoor meet.

Coach Andy Wasnik was an inspirational Track and Field Coach at Park Ridge High School,NJ who always found the time and compassion to help everyone around him. His calm personality and extreme knowledge of field events…particullary the pole vault attracted many young aspiring athletes to his side. This meet pays forward his positive spirit of athletics.
Please come join us this December 27 in honoring his contributions to our sport and kids.
