The Barn was filled with friends….. as The 3rd ANDY WASNIK HOLIDAY MEET was the ..”BEST EVER” !!!! The four section meet saw a “Circus Record ” of 70 vaulters sharing fiberglass poles… enjoying old stories and pushing to new personal bests and school records in the 12 hour meet at FLYING CIRCUS in Warwick Valley,NY. The music was loud… but the volunteers , parents and coaches were cheerful and helpful beyond any 12 hour track meet we ever saw… CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU TO ALL for making our meet a joy!!!!!
Here’s the scoop……
Warwick Valley ,NY senior TODD UCKERMARK lifted over 16′ 9″ with his 15′ 1″ UCS Spirit for a school record and 2nd Highest vault ever in New York State Vault History !!!! His 36″ Push Off the Top was spectacular. It marks his 7th 16 foot vault of the early season for Coach Mike Potters Purple Wave!!!.. Winning Gold in the Open Division was Navy Freshman… Mike Brunaforte(Smithtown,NY) at 16′ 2″… Taking the Masters Division was our very own WILL NESBITT of the Circus…with his 12′ 1″ sail….. Reno here they come !!!!

The Blue-Wave multi-event standout is heading to Reno Summit in just 3 Weeks !!! Taking our breath away in the Open Division…was Circus-Wonder…Stephanie Duffy…University of South Florida grad…with her 12′ 4″ holiday clear for the Don Marsh Track Club !!!!

Kara Snyder(Colonie,NY) ..bound for Villanova next fall… won her third straight Rhode Island HS Classic Vault title on Saturday…..Maddie Schneider (11′ 6″) and Jessica Thornberry(10′ 0″) took the Marine Corp relays Relay on Saturday…and Iona Prep ,NY Vault crew of Ryan Murphy(15’0)..Matt Fay(13′ 6″) and Jah’eem Wheatly(13′ 6″) won the Relay plaque for Coach Jerry Cahill!!! Joe Crispi(Farrell) flew 14′ 6″ on new glass…. Erin Leahey(Warwick,NY) placed 2nd at Armory ay 10′ 6″ and sped 63.0 on winning DMR…Kalli Manly lifted over 10′ 6″ as Did Samantha Beyar and Leah Wachmuth at RCC invite!!… Todd Uckermark won gold on Saturday at 16′ 0″ at Marine Corp for The Purple Wave !!! Matt Leanza(Suffern,NY) won the Pearl River Invite at 11′ 6″ at RCC on Friday!!!
Boys Club Classes meet Monday at regular times and Girls Club classes meet on Thursday evening at regular times. Circus is Closed December 31 and January 1 to ring in the new year!!!!
