  The 82nd EASTERN STATES CHAMPIONSHIPS was a FLYING CIRCUS TEAM EVENT….as 20 Pole Vaulters gathered together all night in support of each other …with cheering…clapping …sharing poles… and encouraging the ‘Spirit of the Pole Vault’ …. Congratulations to all for defining TEAM POLE VAULT @ FLYING CIRCUS. New Records…New PR’s….New Dreams.
  Boys Recap….. Pole Vault Coach Tim Wilson set the stage all night with his brother in presenting the perfect atmosphere for Boys and Girls Pole Vaulters to excel. The electric spirit was contagious all night long and the spark was set for some unbelievable performances from our Rising Stars on Fiberglass. Coming off a sensational PA State Meet on Sunday was Gold Medal winner Nick Marino..just a junior with a terrific plant from Hatsboro,PA…soaring over 15′ 0″ to equal his school record and very close bars at 15′ 6″ for the Flying Circus/Philly Jumps shared athlete. Paramus,NJ ‘s Greg Fuerte was a great surprise with his 14′ 0″ sail for 4th place…Mahwah,NJ senior Jack Muller was dedicated this winter at club and placed 5th at 13′ 6″ for Coach Pasek and team mate Dominic Roca(Mahwah) also hit 13′ 6″ for 6th place tie. St.Anthony’s.NY junior Liam Ackerman has been consistent all winter for Coach Jim Hendersen.. hit 13′ 6″..along with Matt DeLorenzo(Wallkill,NY) at 13′ 6″ and Warwick Valley ,NY junior Isaac Heatley making 13′ 6″ and close at 14′ 0″ . Nate Llanos(Danbury,CT) made 13′ 0″ again..Joe Kim(Ridgefield Park,NJ) 13′ 0″ and Super Soph Charles Crispi(Farrell) was big over 13’ 0″ for Coach Cahill.
  Girls Recap….. 10 Circus Girls took over the runway at 7:08pm and it was all business… with the peaking micro cycle in place. Northern Valley-Demarest,NJ) junior Michelle Rubinetti had some ‘Unsettled Business” to attend to and put it all together from her 8 step and biggest grip of the season..with her 12′ 6″ sail-over for a School and County Indoor Record. She had 2 great shots at 13′ 1″ meet record held by Danielle O’Reilly(Shawnee,NJ) and Megan Clark(O’Neill,NY). Also showing her readiness was the booming height from Tedi DeMaria(Bethlehem,NY) at 12′ 6″ on her 14 x UCS Spirits 155 poles. Watch out for her the next 2 weeks. Placing 4th was Amanda McNelis(Commack,NY) coming off her 6th place at NY State Gymnastics meet on Saturday on Unevean Bars…. she hit 11′ 6″ for Coach jim Hendersen and close at 12′ 0″. Sensational vaulting also came from Caitlin”Rev” Reverand of Northern Valley-Demarset,NJ .. one of the states Best Multi-Event athletes and Galaxy Gymnastics legend…hit 11′ 6″ again and close at 12′ 0″ with her biggest grip and pole ever and a National Qualifier in 2 events this year. Placing 6th was another success story…as Jessica Ippolito(Fair Lawn,NJ) just a junior and a Reno Summit athlete this year.. puched a school record of 11’6″ for Coach Wilson and crew of cutters and a National Qualifier! Kalli Manly(Burnt Hills,NY) flew 11′ 0″..Max earl(Ridgewood,NJ) was ever so close at 11′ 6’…Lauren Russo(Newtown,CT) set a personal best of 11′ 0″ for Coach Duffy…Nicole Lester was the TOP SOPH at Easterns at 11’ 0″ PR and Madisyn Hawkins(Coughlin,PA) completed a super indoor season and becomes our clubs Most Improved Indoor athlete for 2016!!!!
     ALL in ALL …. It was pure athletics.
