Darien,CT Senior Captain…MADDIE SCHNEIDER finished her sensational senior season for the BLUE WAVE of DARIEN…with a winning pole vault effort of 11′ 9″ on Saturday at The New England Track & Filed Championships in Saco,Maine. This powerful and humble multi-event star finished her outdoor season with a perfect slate…UNDEFEATED. Her team leadership and positive modeling will now be carried to West Point Military Academy in just a few weeks. Coached for the legendary Steve Norris at Darien High School for the past four years and competing for The Flying Circus Club at Warwick Valley for the last three years has been a remarkable ride to the top of the charts and New School Records… and is the proud daughter of Christian and Brianna Schneider of Darien,CT. CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!
Also soaring @ New England Champs was Shelton,CT senior Laurel Bailey. Runner Up at the CT STATE OPEN last week.. Laurel vaulted 10′ 9″ in Saco and heads to the University of Connecticut next fall. Coming on strong the last 3 weeks was Sophomore star..Lauren Russo of Newtown.CT.. This Flying Circus soph made 10′ 3″ personal best to end the season and will be in Circus Summer Camp on July 16-17 in Warwick,NY… Weston.CT junior Hannah Campos flew 9′ 9′ for Coach Medve . In Boys action… Christian Partenio(Danbury,CT) set his PR at 13′ 3″ for Coach Murphy.
USATF Eastern Regional Championships today at Icahn Stadium….High Point University ,NC Freshman…TODD UCKERMARK started his Summer Rise to the Top…with a short run zoom over 14′ 7.75″ to place 2nd..as Jen and Rick Suhr looked on with Coach will Nesbitt catching the marks… Circus Coach Ben Simonet had a super day again and readies himself for the World Master Championships in France in September!!!
….On To Greensboro NB NATIONALS !!!!! The Flying Circus hits the road again….. and will have 15 Circus athletes competing all 3 days this weekend at the super-fast runways at the North Carolina A&T track facility in Greensboro. CONGRATULATIONS to all our National Qualifiers…our Coaching Staff will be on site all 3 days to help !!!!
