  25  Circus Pole Vault….Never Giving Up.     That is the. story of the day. for each athlete measuring up to their very best.  CONGRATULATIONS. EVERYONE !!!!

 The day started. with 86’degree temps at the north pit. , as. 22 Girls supported. each other on every jump. and in-between. GIRLS LITE-IT-UP~~~~~~~~Lily Beattie of Warwick Valley’s Coach Kirt Thomas staple of. vaulters…  set a Junior Class record for the Wildcats. with her. 13′  .5″ PR Sail for the. gold.   Using big 14-foot poles.  and her biggest grip of the year.. she. was. close at bar 13′ 4″ and heads. to State.  and NB Nationals. Big jumps. also came. from Warwick Vallet Sophomore Gymnast..Rachel Venter. with her 12′ 0″ for. silver.  and then a gutsy move. to her. 13-foot Essx’s. at 12′ 6″ bars. Ella Galloway of Pine Bust came into her medium 6-step approach. and. sailed. 12′ 0″.Stella Scherbak of Monroe Woodbury placed. 4th at 11′ 0″ and. had.  super. jumps. at  NY  State Middle School record at 11′ 7″.   Ady Laurie of New Paltz. was. solid at 11′ 0″ to advance. to next Friday NY State Pole Vault Championships @ Middletown.NY    In total—  9.  BOYS.. ..TAKE~ON~THE~`HEADWINDS~~~~~~~~  Down in the South Hugh Cauters Pole Vault Area Pit… The Boys. battled.  stiff headwinds to set. some PRs.   and State  ALL-TIME Bests !!!!! Luke Beattie of Warwick Valley’s Coach Mike Potters  Purple Wave. was. sensational in his. Gold Medals vault of 15′ 0″. to break the ALL~TIME. NY State FRESHMAN pole Vault Record of 14′ 8″ !!! Using a borrowed pole. from Max Dicker.. her was. close. at 15′ 4″ bar to end the meet on a high note.. Luke also won Division I. Javelin with PR. 137′ 0″ and a dinner. from Coach Potter!!!!!~. Sean Robertson of Marlboro won Division II. at 12′ 6″ PR. for the talented. sophomore.  The Full Boy’s Results. are below.
