The grind work is all over…It’s time to fly at Flying Circus. CONGRATULATIONS to all 100+ vaulters this weekend in our four state reach for pole vault soaring. We are most proud of every vaulter..regardless of performance levels..because we know it’s all about human effort that makes the athlete complete. Feeling great about your total effort is the real prize in athletics. It’s about knowing yourself and being true to yourself that fuels your self esteem. Thanks you for the last 4 months of dedication… Keep moving forward!!!!

6 NEW STATE VAULT CHAMPS CROWNED

* TYLER HRBEK of Old Tappan,NJ won his State Group Meet at Toms River with a 15′ 0″ Sail for Coach Jeff Clark.. Team mate Seth Kricheff also flew 15′ 0″ and took home silver on total misses.
*CONOR REILLY of Union Catholic won his State Non-Public A Gold with 14′ 3″ PR for the gymnastic sophomore.
*MELISSA PURCELL of Pascack Valley won her State Group title at 12′ 1″ for Coach Tim Wilson.
* NICK PETRUZZELLI of Notre Dame-West Haven,CT won his CT STATE OPEN Crown with a 14′ 0″ leap to edge Nate Llanos of Danbury, also at 14′ 0″
* SYDNEY WOODS of Northern Valley-Demerast,NJ won her Vault State Group Title at Toms River on Friday with her 11′ 6′ Sail for this junior
*LIAM LANDAU of Pascack Hills,NJ pulled a PR surprise win at State with his 14′ 6″ gold medal jump for this junior.

SECTION 9 Meets @ West Point

One of New York States Prime and Deep Traditional Pole Vault Sections is alive and well this indoor season.. New York SECTION 9 LOVES POLE VAULT!!!!

Girls Class A at Gillis Field House was loaded with cheering and clapping all night at the Pole Vault Pit. Warwick Valley,NY junior Kaeli Thompson put on a show with a New School Record win at 12′ 8″PR from her long run. The night marked exactly two years of vaulting for the speedy all purpose Purple Wave athlete. She also set PR’s in Long Jump and 200 relay split for her team. She had 1 close bar at 13′ 1″ before calling it a night. Monroe,NY senior sprinter,Kristin Lubeskie 10′ 6″ and 41.49 School record at 300 meters!
