Jan. 3 @ Gillis Fieldhouse,West Point ~~~~ The Orange County Meet # 2 at Gillis Fieldhouse on Friday night was full of exciting pole vault action…as Washingtonville.NY senior Nick Mirecki flew to the Butler Construct rafters and over 15′ 8″ new school record for Coach Duffy/coach White ‘s WIZARD NATION fans. He then had 2 great bars at 16′ 0″..all after a sensation 400m in 53.3!!!! Nick now chasing to the NYRR MILLROSE GAMES TRAIALS for the final sport in this years GREATEST INDOOR on the PLANET!!! Another great performance came from Warwick Valley Middle School multi-athlete..Lily Beattie..with her win in the pole vault at 10′ 6″…officially taking down the NY STATE 8th grade All-Time Record of 10′ 3.25″ by the legentary Erica Ellis(Gates-Chili,NY). Lily moved her 13′ x 155 ESSX from8 lefts and was close at 11’0″ Barrier for Coach Potter’s Purple Indoor Wave!! Top Freshman was Warwick Valley’s Andy Cimino with a PR at 13′ 0″ and then took three great leaps at NY STATE 9th Grade record of 13′ 6″ by Nick Jones(Shen)!!!! Andy used his 14′ 1″ x 170 ESSX for the ride!!! Results below——-
