The Hay is in the Barn ~~~ Welcome to the harvest !!!!! The Flying Circus 5 Month Training Cycle is complete and the athletes are moving their personal bests this early season. There were 33 Flying Circus Pole Vaulters in The Armory Coach St. meet on Friday night and the jumping was electric… as the Circus Girls took the TOP 7 places..with Marisa DiGia(NV-Old Tappan,NJ) sailing 11′ 1″ in the jump off with Sophie Mareck(Wash’ville,NY) for gold…. The Boys Stick Jumping Event was loaded with talent and 41 guys flexing their muscles…Washington,NY senior Nick Mirecki flew a school record 15′ 6″ for Coach Duffy and Coach White and qualifies for the championship section at NB Nationals in March. Placing third was the strongman himself.. Dalton Yeust(Tunkhannock,PA) at 14′ 6″ and strong School record attempts at 15′ 0″ to lead the 15 Circus Boys.
In todays Circus Youth Pole Vault Tour…history was made again…as Rachel Venter(Warwick Valley Middle School,NY) seventh grader broke the NY State All Time 7th Grade Class Record with her 9′ 2″ leap on Essx. The old 7th grade record was by Warsaw,NY Standout..Karmen Auble @ 9′ 1″ in 2009 at the Flying Circus Golden Vault. Lily Beattie(Warwick Valley Middle School.NY) flew 9′ 8 for the 8th grader and Andy Cimino(Warwick Valley,NY) Freshman sailed 12′ 0″ to win the JOE TEA first prize. Luke Beattie of Warwick Valley won the 6th greade event at 7′ 2″ PR!!!!
