  Warwick,NY—   The Snow storm outside the FLYING CIRCUS  could not hold back the” Pole Vault Nut’s” inside that little old dairy barn on Warwick Center Drive.  With 28  competitors competing “Unattached” for their home towns… new school records…new Personal Bests  and some new National Qualifiers enjoyed the fun..friendship  and joy of pole vault.  Many thanks  to all athletes…parents   and coaches for making our meet a hugh success.

  In the High School Boys Division.. it was hometown hero..Derek DiBona(Warwick,NY)  who  flew 15′ 6″ easily  and then had 3 great  bars at 16′ 3.5″ for the Purple Wave on his short poles and short grips. Derek  will take it up at Eastern States on Tuesday. Westhill,CT  senior  Chris Rough soared over 14′ 9′ by a miles   and  was close at 15′ 6″ on his new poles.   In the Girls Division… Sparta,NJ and Flying Circus  Katlyn Rymarzow almost hit the roof..with her 12′ 1″ seasonal best  for the Princeton University to be TIGER next fall. Amanda McNelis(Commack,NY) hit the National Standard with her 11′ 3″ clear for Coach Henderson…and Junior Samantha Kaplan(New Paltz,NY) junior set a new Indoor School Record 0f 11′ 3″ to qualify for Nationals.
