  Dear “FLYING  CIRCUS  ATHLETES” ………………..

        For most of us…..  it was 255 days~ago… that. we started together in our pre-season fall vaulting groups to plan and map out your pole vaulting success in   ‘chase of your personal bests’. We are now approaching  your final meets together  on July 5-6 at our Final meet of the year…The Flying Circus Festival at your home pits.

   You have all sacrificed many things TOGETHER…. you have pushed. yourselves on those lonely fall and winter days… almost 90+ vaulters jumping at our. club this year. from many different towns and states….. through winter groups… to private sessions and home meets…. through the. heat.  and. the cold barn nights….all TOGETHER. You pushed yourself every day…. TOGETHER.. You helped. and supported. each other….TOGETHER.    Your story is filled with motivation and Full effort…TOGETHER.

    Beyond the. results…. You all became  a SUCCESS …… TOGETHER.

  Results Galore Report (May 28-June 1)

  Section 2 State Quals… “The Howard and McBain Show”——-  The strong Section 2 (Albany Area) was loaded. with super results in every event. Senior Neil Howard II(Taconic Hills)…coming off his Tuesday night PV record 17′ 1.25″ leap..  advanced to state in  400 Hurdles in 53.54. and another. 16′ 6″ pole vault  win.  Circus teammate..Amelia McBain(Saratoga Springs). coming off her. school record. 12′ 6″ jump..also produced gold at 12′ 0″ and   close bars at 12′ 7″ for the Blue Streaks. Asklyn Weakly(Columbia) flew. again over. 11′ 6″ and moves on to state finals next Friday in Syracuse.  The Circus advanced a record….. 17 Vaulters to this year’s  NY State Championships!!!!!   HOORAY!!!!!

  Section 9 State Quals….. Section 9(Lower Hudson Valley Area) is perhaps.  the. strongest section in NY State Track & Field this year.   In all… 57 teams of motivated and focused coaches and athletes in every event. Many vaulters excelling in other events and relays for their teams…… Leading the production of team points this weekend. was Luke Beattie(Warwick Valley)…just. a 15 year old. sophomore Coached. by Mile Potter/Curtis Acacki and finally on their new track facility. … Luke. set school record.  of 10. 67 in the. 100 meters.. raced.  strong on a school record 43.05 400m Relay silver.. and flew to 15′ 6″ from longer run and bigger pole in the PV win..Totaling  Team 22 Points !!!! Logan Schupner(Minisink)   is back to his flying tricks on fiberglass.  with 15′ 0″. ..Klaus Lindenau(Warwick Valley). 13′ 0″ for bronze…Anthony Roe(Warwick Valley) 11′ 6′. Nate VonDenben(PB) 11-0″. ..Logan Williams(G_. 10′ 0″. Luke Kotsides(Rondout Valley) advances. at 12′ 6′ in D II. The Girls flew in New Paltz… as. clubmates. Ella Galloway cranked up 13′ 0″ for the gold and also made state in High Jump and Lily Beattie(Warwick Valley) flew in 100m… PV- 12′ 6″ silver… 400m Relay school record. 48.65 Gold.. along with the HS Chemistry Award that night at the school assembly night.!!!  USA#6 Freshman…Stella Scherbak(Monroe)   place 3rd. at 12′ 0″ and close bar at 12′ 6″…..Rachel Venter(Warwick Valley) and Delila Kronimus(Minisink) tied. at 11′ 0″… Avery Klein(PB) 10′ 6″. Lilliana DeFelice(Cornwall) 10′ 0″ Anderson Farina(Cornwall) 9′ 6″.  and 5′ 2″ State Standard…. Hayden Flynn(Wash). 8′ 6″.  In DII section .. it was all Ady Laurie(New Paltz) soaring on her home pit. for the. win. at 11′ 0″ SB…Keely Schock(SW) 8′ 6′..Timber Jackson(Marlboro). 8′ 6’=SB.

  Section 1 State Quals @ Arlington…. Senior Maia Perillo won the gold medal in Division I. with   her 11′ 6″  sail and close at 12′ 3″ NB Standard…Anna Riskin(Suffern) took home the silver at 9′ 6″ SB….In D-II… Kate Dowling(Pearl River)  cleared 8′ 6″and in Boys I..Todd Korman(Suffern)  won at 12′ 6″.  David Schfrim(HG placed. silver at 12′ 0-”  Ryan Toner(HG) 11′ 6″… Justin Digga(Suffern) 10′ 6″. Liam Taylor-Normoyle(JJ) 10′ 6″Jessup Whitehurst(Suffern) 10′ 6″…In D-II.. it was Aaron bell*Sleepy Hallow) taking the win at 11′ 6″. Aiden Gleeson(PR) 11′ 0″ Colin Donadio(PR) 10’6″SB…Kemari Miller(Valhalla) 9′ 6″.

 New Jersey Sectionals. (North)…@ Vernon HS…. Soph Jenna Monaco went fast in 100m Hurdles for gold at 14.92. and followed up with 11′ 0″ Pole Vault silver.  Kayla Sanchez(NVD)  9′ 0″. In Group 3–Dylan Golden(Tenafly) placed  first at 10′ 6″. Jamie Kim(OT) 10′ 6″ for silver…Allie Tuite(OT) 10’0″. Salome Sanchez(OT) 9′ 6″. Campbell Chadwell(T) 9′ 0″..In Boys action—Owen Keating(Pompton Lakes. took the D-II Vault title. at 14′ 0″. Ron Rozenthal(NVD)  12′ 6′. Ben Mandler(PH_ 12′ 6′. Matt Sands(NVD) 11′ 0″. Ben Malone(PH) 10′ 6″..In D-I… Alan Villavicencio(Tenafly) placed. second at 13′ 6″. Carter Pataki(NH) 11′ 0″ and Sam Irizarry(T) 10′ 0″.

 New Jersey Sectionals @ Livingston HS……It’s. a.true story of…’never ~ giving  ~up” in yourself.  Such is the wonderful result yesterday. for Wallkill Valley’s Brady Bonser.  Coming off  a serious injury this winter fueled. this talented and humble left-hand pole vaulter from Hamberg,NJ RANGERS….. Brady set  a new  all-time school record  yesterday  with his. 14′ 1″ gold medal in Group 1. action !!!! In Group 4…Ray Stellmach(Ridgewood) placed. bronze at 12′ 6″….Adrian Alvarez(BT)  8′ 0″… In Girls Group 4– Isabella Formoso(Bergen Tech) sailed. a school record of 11′ 6″. for Coach Ken Cevoli and Bronco Meric… Emai Handa(Ridgewood). 10′ 0″….Lucie Crosby(R) 9′ 0″~~~~~
