IT’s …”SUMMIT WEEK” ….. The Flying Circus will be traveling this Thursday-Sunday to Reno,Nevada for the one and only UCS Spirit NATIONAL POLE VAULT SUMMIT…presented by Steve Chappell (UCS) and Family!!!! We want to thank every parent and coach for sending the 11 High School athletes for this educational fiberglass trip.. We will bring back all the ever changing technique concepts for all our vault-crew!!!! Athletes attending…Maxine earl,Jessica Ippolito,Samantha Kaplan,Kalli Manly,Julia Valenti,Caitlin Reverand,Michelle Rubinetti,Matt Delorenzo,Dylan Scribani,Brian Rubenstein,Liam Ackerman. Coaches Stephaine Duffy,Megan Jamersen,Will Nesbitt and Ben Sinonet will also be chaperoning and taking it up this weekend!!!! Flying Circus hits-the-road!!!!!

LIAM ACKERMAN (14′ 0″) and JULIA VALENTI (12′ 0″) TAKE-IT-UP……. St.Anthony,NY junior Liam Ackerman won the Hispanic Games at the Armory on Saturday with his 14′ 0″ sail and close at 14′ 4″ for Coach Jim Hendersen Friars.. This former Monroe,NY youth star is coming out of the cave…North Reading,MA multi-Event Julia Valenti continues to thrive..with her 12′ 0″ win at the Dartmouth Relays and close at 12′ 6″. This soon to be Dartmouth University athlete heads west to the Summit this weekend. Burnt Hills,NY senior star Kalli Manly captured the silver medal with her 11′ 0″ and moving to longer poles now and Alana Carroll(Averial Park) sailed 11′ 0″ for TOP SOPH jump this indoor in New York!
Cornell,NY.. NY State Champ..Tedi DeMaria(Bethlehem) won the gold at Cornell on Saturday and continues to move her grip up slightly every week for Coach Gansel…along with her Triple Jump emphasis. Amelia Legg(Sidney) 8’6″ and Johannes Stromhaug(Vestal) won the Boys at 13′ 6″ for the state’s TOP SOPH!!
Ocean Breeze,NY… Watch Out…West Coast… Megan Jamersen is back in full vault training!!! Our Flying Circus star set a new Ocean Breeze Fieldhouse record with her 13′ 7.25″ win this week. She will be reconnecting with her friends and coaches this weekend at Summit!!! Megan has her sights set at this years’ Olympic Trials in mid June at Hayward Field,Oregon!!!!
East Stroudsberg,PA… Coughlin,PA junior Madesyn Hawkins looked great at 11′ 0″ to place 3rd at East Stroudsberg Invite and Super-soph Abby Norwillo(Pittston Area,PA) is improving fast this indoor at 10′ 0″.
Hillhouse,CT … Greenwich,CT… soph…Lia Zavattaro won her two meets this weekend and set her indoor school record at 9’6″…Ava Coleman(Mercy,CT) won her meets at 10′ 0″…Danielle Cass (Weston,CT) won again at SWC at 10’0″ Lauren Russo(Newtown) 9′ 6″..Ali Moraveck(Mysuk) 9′ 6′ and Hannah Campos(Weston) 9′ 6″. Marc DeLuca(Westhill,CT) flew 13′ 0″ for gold at Staples Invite. Nathaniel Llanos(Danbury) hit 12′ 6″ PR!
Freedom Games @ Ocean Breeze….. Northern Valley-Demarest,NJ junior Michelle Rubinette sailed 11′ 0″ for the gold and best friend team mate Caitlin Reverand hit 10′ 6″ for the silver medal..NV-Demarest junior new-comer Erin Yuder made 9′ 6″ with big air… Kristin Lubeskie hit 9’6″ and 300m winner… Kelli Zestanakis(TH) 9′ 0″ Devon Feuer(NR) 8′ 0″ Seraya Friedman(MW) 8′ 0″ Kerry Qualter(CS) 7′ 6′ . In the Boys Invite..Farrell Sop Charles Crispi made 13′ 0″ again for Coach Cahill and George Zakharov(Croton-Harman) PR’ed at 12′ 0″ Isaac Heatley and Dane Sorensen both made 11′ 6″ to spare for the Purple Wave. Kiernan McCarthy(Valley Central) made 9′ 6″ on his own. Team Mate Brendan McShane hit his PR at West Point at 11′ 0″ for our most improved flyer this indoor. Colleen Leahey sailed 8′ 6″ for the Golden Eagles of JS Burke on Friday Night.
