C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S ….. to ALL 17 CIRCUS VAULTERS who competed off -the-charts this weekend at The New Balance National Track & Field Championships in Greensboro !!!!! Words can not describe how proud we are of you and all our other club members at all levels this past year. You have all proved that “Spirit” and “Togetherness” moves athletes to new levels of confidence and performance. YOU MAKE OUR CLUB GREAT!!!!!

Here’s the scoop — Averill Park.NY senior…ALANA CARROLL won her NATIONAL POLE VAULT TITLE on Saturday with a tough mindset and personal best leap of 13′ 6.5″ on her 14 foot sticks. Competing into a varying headwind all day could not stop this Harvard bound gymnast…as she took close bars at 14′ 0″ for Coach Cauthers. This marks the third National Pole Vault Champion at our club… including Michelle Kercado(Monroe Woodbury,NY and Emily Savage,Weston ,CT) !!!!! Kaeli “Sparkie” Thompson of hometown Warwick Valley Track Club also hit All American honors for The Purple Wave with her 6th place 12′ 6.5″ and clean thru 12′ 10′ 5″, Kaeli used her biggest pole for no regrets!!! Abby Norwillo…of Pittston Area,PA was sensationall into wind again..placed 7th at 12′ 6.5″ and heads to the Ivy Womens Championship team at PENN this fall… Northern Valley-Demarest,NJ…junior ..Sydney Woods came up BIG in the Championship Section for Coach Mike Ives… with a PR 12′ 6.5″ for this scholar athlete and returns for her senior year next fall. !!!! Perhaps the best motivation was provided by Abington Heights,PA junior vaulter Dani Heine…with her foot in a boot from injury last week…she provided the spark and help for all others in her club on the infield. It’s more than just jumping high!!!!
