CONGRATULATIONS to all FLYING CIRCUS VAULTERS across the 5 State Area for outstanding performances again this week.. The 127 Flying Circus members have taken us to a while new level of pole vault development… here is the latest edition of flying off the stick !!!

Norwell, MASS – The Massachusetts State Large School Championships @ Norwell High School’s New “State of the Art ” Track Facility was in full bloom at yesterday’s STATE MEET for Large Schools. North Reading HS junior JULIA VALENTI set a new All Time meet record in the vault at 12′ 7.75″ (School Record) and had 1 close bar at 13′ 0″ before running out of poe strength!!! This talented gymnastic champion now moves to Saturday’s STATE OPEN MEET at Finchberg State University. Julia will also be attending our summer camp and meet July 16–19 in Warwick. North Reading freshman team mate Rachel Hill made 10′ 0″ to place for Coach Eric Hastings. Saturday’s meet record of 13′ 0″ by Anna McFarlane (2003) is in trouble !!!

South Plainfield,NJ – Katlyn Rymarzow(Pope John) hit the plant hard at the Meet of Champions NJ All Groups…with her 12′ 0″ clear. She also won this meet as a soph at 11′ 6″ on the same runway…and moves on to Greensboro in two weeks for NATIONALS. She had a close bar at 12′ 6″ for Coach Corcoran’s Lady Lions. Placing 5th was senior Lauren Bilali(Old Tappan) with her 11′ 0″…Sabrina Anderson(Hunterdon Central) 11′ 0″ Brigette Muller(Mahwah) 11′ 0″ Cara Kelly(Vernon) 10′ 6″ Caitlin Reverand(NV-Demerast) 10′ 0″. Sam Siegel of NV-Demerast had another successful day with his 14′ 6″ runner up vault performance. This Dartmouth University bound vaulter will be in Greensboro NB Nationals. Ike Osbun(MKA) 13′ 0″ Sebastian Camacho(New Providence) 13′ 0″.. Vaulter Brian Sagendorf(Union Catholic) placed 3rd in Javelin at 194′ 3″ !!

Willowbrook Park,CT – Many great performances from our Connecticut vaulters in their State Class Championships..with 3 taking STATE TITLES… in the rain soaked events… Maddie Schneider(Darien) 10′ 6″… Laurel Bailey(Shelton) 10′ 6″ and Leland Roberts(Danbury) 4’0″…CONGRATULATIONS!!! Also performing super were Lauren Russo(Newtown) 9’6″ Danielle Cass(Weston) 9’6″ Henry Vossler(Darien) 10′ 6″ Sophia Corde(Staples) 8’6″ Jackie Sgobbo(Newtown) 8′ 0″ Lia Zagattaro(Greenwich) 8′ 0″ Chris Rough(Westhill) 13′ 0″ Tom Chessman(Greenwich) 12′ 0″ Christian Partenio(Danbury) 12′ 0″ .

Central Valley,NY – The section 9 State Qual meet was held at Monroe-Woodbury’s Championship facility… with 8 Flying Circus Vaulters advancing to next week’s New York State Finals at Albany University on Friday and Saturday. Catherine Walker(Monroe) senior set a meet record of 12′ 7″ for the gold medal and top mark in NY state so far this season. Using her 13′ x 160 UCS Spirit..she attempted 12′ 10.75 for a new section record. Team mate Samantha Beyar(Monroe) heading to Clemson University advanced to state at 11′ 0″. Also making state was New Paltz,NY junior Samantha Kaplan with her big 11′ 0″ jump and Sophia Alter(Rondout Valley) at 10′ 0″ Erin Leahey(Warwick) 10’0″ Kristin Lubeskie(Monroe) 10′ 0″ -Freshman MVP at Monroe this year… Andrea Dolan(Wallkill) 10′ 0″ PR and Kira Magnani(Rondout Valley) 8′ 6″. The Boys were up next and also competed into wind.. as Derek DiBona and Matt Greenlaw(Warwick) advanced to state at 14′ 0″ Matt Delorenzo(Wallkill) flew 13′ 9″ PR Ivan Mieses(Middletown) 13′ 6″ … In Division II..It was all New Paltz vault Club with Martin Desmery(NP) winning gold at 13’0″ Dylan Scribani(NP) 12′ 6″ Vinnie Depaolo(MW) 12′ 6″..Issac Heatley(Warwick) 12′ 0″PR Dagi Tadese(NP) 11′ 6″ Nick Nerergsmith(Wash) 11′ 6″ Cosmo Sweeney(NP) 11′ 6″ !!!
