Warwick Valley,NY junior..Kaeli Thompson led the weekend girls with her 12′ 7″ Meet Record at the 51st Glenn Loucks Games in White Plains. In the rain delayed competition, she used a reduced grip on her three close jumps at 13′ 1″ for Coach Mike Potter’s Purple Wave. Rebecca Baez(No.Rock) 8′ 6″ and Clarissa Cuomo(Brewster) 8′ 6″…Sydney Tomaine(FDR) 8′ 6″. The afternoon Boys compeition was solid..with Dave Bausmith(No Hunterdon,NJ) taking the gold at 15′ 0″..Charles Crispi(Farrell) 15′ 0″ and Dane Sorensen(Warwick Valley) flying 14′ 6″. She is closing in on the 13 Foot Barrier and will be jumping in Nationals in Greensboro next month. Lauren Pawlowski(Shelton,CT) set Pr at 10′ 6″ this week.
Bergen County Championships…Old Tappan,NJ..senior..Tyler Hrbek flew 14′ 6″ for the vault win and hit 14′ 9″ at Mahwah’s Andy Washnik Invite last week. This UCONN recruit also long jumped 20’8″ for Jeff Clarks vault crew. Liam Landau(Pascack Hills) also hit 14′ 6″…Adam Stavash(Hasbrook Heights) 14′ 0″PR Jared Forer(Glen Rock) 14′ 0″PR !!! This Level 10 gymnast broke a 37 year old record!!!! Governor Livingston ..senior..Lauren Saifi also flew high..with her 12′ 0″ leap with her improved take-off this spring!!!
