It’s official …….MEGAN CLARK (DUKE UNIVERSITY) Pole Vault Record Holder has accepted her invitation to the 2015 NRR MILLROSE GAMES in New York City!!!!

The story begins ….. in the spring of 2009… in the small town of Hayfield , Virginia….where Pole Vault Coach Randy McConchie hands freshman Megan “Flips” Clark her first fiberglass pole vaulting pole. The speedy sprinter/hurdler takes the bait…and a star is born for the pole-vault event. She jumps 9′ 9″ and places 5th at the Virginia State meet. The journey moves to West Point ,NY for her Soph and Junior scholastic achievements at Flying Circus…where she booms 13′ 0″ for 2 State Vault Titles at James O’Neill High School. She also cranks up 25.6 @ 200m and 14’66 in 100m Hurdles. Her dad… US Army Cornel Ron Clark takes over command at Fort Banning ,Georgia as Megan enters her senior year at Columbus High School. Her Mom…Simona Clark takes over her pole vault coaching and she agin wins another State Championship..this time the Georgia Vault Title and graduates with honors.
…….Duke University Associate Head Track & Field Coach Shawn Wilbourn. then takes the reigns on this runaway stage coach…. and Megan Clark jumps thru the roof!!!! She improves from 13′ 0″ to 14′ 7″ in less than 18 months… and technique and speed/strength year-round work pays off with a USA Jr.National Title and the USA uniform!!!!! Last spring ..Megan is invited to compete at the Adidas Street Vault in Times Square,NY…and places third at 14′ 6′ and near 15′ 0″ bar from her short run into a 9mph HeadWind!!!!

Yes… Millrose Games committee…. You invited the right women for this year!!!!
