Megan ‘Flips’ Clark came to New York as a sophomore from Virginia when her father was transferred to teach at West Points Simon Center for Leadership Development. She was coached by Randy Mc Conniky to a 5th place finish at her Virginia f State meet at 9′ 9″ for the freshman speedy ..gymnastic star. She joined Flying Circus and traveled from West Point 3 times a week with her mom,,, Simona…. and in just 2 years.. she became NY State Champion in the Pole Vault for Indoor and Outdoor Track…. sailing 13′ 0″ in her junior year at James O’Neill High School. She then won the Georgia State Pole Vault Championship in her senior year, as a transfer student. She sailed 15′ 3.5″ at Duke University for Coach Shaun Wilbourn and placed second at the NCAA Indoor Champs her senior year. Now representing the NYAC/Oiselle. as a professional pole vaulter… Megan flew to 15′ 1.25″ on Friday Night at USA NATIONALS in New Mexico and is aiming for this years Olympic Dream…. The moral of the story…is… FOLLOW YOUR DREAM ….. and ….. NEVER-GIVE-UP !!!! Congratulations Megan !!!!
