HISPANIC GAMES @ ARMORY….
…The Biggest meet of the year was fun on Saturday at the” House of Dreams”…ARMORY ,NYC….with 12 Circus vaulters enjoying the grand history of this Track & Field “Hall of Fame “.
The Warwick Valley,NY Vault Twins… Senior Todd Uckermark and junior Derek DiBona from Coach Mike Potters runninmg stable…let loose with a NEW YORK STATE ALL TIME RELAY Best of 31′ 6″…as both skyed over 15′ 9″ in the 40 man field… and brushed off the new year bars at 16′ 3″ each. DiBona equalled the State Junior Class record of Ryan Dall(No Rockland-1993). Both will take their show to the National Pole Vault Summit in Reno,NV in just 2 weeks!!!
…. Great vaulting also came from Senior Pat Lynch((Cranford,NJ) with his comeback at 13′ 9” and super 14’3 “leaps for the Notre Dame University bound speedster. Grayson Wright(Carmel,NY) 11′ 3″ and Dan Hannen(Cranford,NJ) 10′ 3″ looked good.

…..The Girls Vault took center stage at 2PM following the National Anthem…and Vestal,NY Junior Kari Stromhaug won at 11′ 9″ …erasing Jenna Marrione’s meet record of 11′ 7″ from 2008. Kari placed 3rd in her Norwegian Jr. Championships this summer in Oslo and takes the NYS leader board in the vault. Kalli Manly(BH,NY) placed 3rd at 11′ 3″ on her BIG POLE and Kara Snyder(Colonie,NY) and Erin Leahey(Warwick Valley,NY) tied for 4th at 10′ 9″ each. Christina Masciala(Pascack Hills,NJ) coached by Russ Koehler and Hugh Cauthers flew 10′ 3″ for the All Begen County Gymnast. Dara Liss(Cheltenham,PA) flew 10′ 3″ and Niki Claery(HC,NJ) looked strong over 9′ 3″ !!!!

Congrats to freshman vault star Nick Marino(Hatsboro,PA) for soaring 10′ 9” at Vaultworx Games this weekend. He is coming to camp this spring!!!!

* TODD UCKERMARK Commits to HIGH POINT UNIVERSITY, NC…… Congratulations to Todd and his family on his decision to attend HIGH POINT UNIVERSITY. This choice is wonderful..as it affords Todd a first class education in his major…Communications . Todd is the son of Hurb and Victoria Uckermark of Warwick,New York.
