    The 2018 New Balance Indoor Nationals was far more than “Just- Flying” for the 19 athletes.. their parents…their coaches and the pole vault officials . Yes- this was a celebration of the hard work ethic by all parties involved in this spectacular Indoor season….2018 edition !!!! We believe that the journey..the everyday pushing of individual limits in training and preparation are the joys of being in the National Championships in any sport. Results are only part of this journey. CONGRATULATIONS to the entire Flying Circus Family for our BEST INDOOR SEASON IN HISTORY!!!

    The Armory was A-buzzin’….. at the pole vault pit all three days… as four Circus athletes became ..”ALL-AMERICANS” in their Divisions of Emerging Elite and The Championship of American. .. Leading the way on Friday in the Girls Emerging Elite Event was Monroe-Woodbury,NY ..senior sprinter/vaulter..Kristen Lubeski..with her All American 3rd place finish with a PR at 12′ 6.25″ for the Lady Crusaders. She came off her 56.8 Relay Split on her Sprint Medley Relay and charged down the vault runway with her 13′ 1 x 160 Spirit. She was close at 12′ 10.5″ bar. Sydney Woods of Northern alley-Demarest,NJ also fly high all day with close bars at 12′ 2.5″…. Junior .. Dani Heine of Abington Heights,PA took great bars at 12′ 2.5″ for a super indoor season.. Governor Livingston,NJ senior.. Lauren Saifi was great over 11′ 8.5″ ..Holy Angels,NJ senior Caroline McGann was so charged up..that even her new Big pole came up short at 11′ 8.5″ …Junior adopted Circus super star.. Elise Hall,Raleigh,NC of Pole Vault Carolina ..this years North Carolina State Champ.. flew 11′ 2.5″ for Coach Jose…. Trina Barcarola of Coach Bob Amos’s Western Wayne,PA was super at 11′ 8.5″… Corah Krantz..the Lakeland,PA school record holder was close at 11′ 2.5′ .. Lia Zavattaro,..the Greenwick,CT Captain of the State Champs Cardinals.. was solid at 11′ 2’5″ for the Bucknell bound star!!!

    The Boys Emerging Elite followed in late afternoon on Friday… and Northern Valley-Old Tappan,NJ Pole Vault crew of Tyler Hrbek and Seth Kricheff and Coach Jeff Clark came a callin’… Thyler Hrbek,,The tall and powerful senior..flew 15′ 3.5″ for a new personal best and became All American with his 4th place overall finish. Team Mate Seth Kricheff was also solid all day with his 14′ 9.5″ 10th place… Pascack Hills,NJ junior Lian Landau came thru for Coach Ross Koehler..with his 14′ 3.5″ zoom… Warwick Valley,NY ..senior Dane Sorensen was big at 14′ 3.5″ to complete his 16th indoor meet and perhapes our most consistent club vaulter this indoor. Josiah Spain of O.Neill,NY hit 13′ 9.75 ” and Sophomore Connor Reilly,Union Catholic,NJ was close at 13′ 9.5″.

    Sunday… Girls Vault Championships of America began .. with four Circus Girls in the loaded Championships. Averill Park,NY .. senior .Alana Carroll and Coach Cauthers came ready for the fun.. Alana hit 13′ 2.5″ for her All American finish and marked her 8th Straight Meet over the 13 foot Barrier. She ran out of pole at 13′ 6… Kaeli Thompson of the Purple Wave of Warwick Valley Track Club… set her new personal record with her 13′ 2.5″ for 5th place and All American status for Coach Mike Potter. Abby Norwillo..our senior leader. .. put on a great display of competitive spirit and fighting all day and ever so close at 13′ 2.5′ for the Penn bound super star…. Senior ..Melissa “Sunshine” Purcell of Pascack Valley,NJ ..the all time record holder on Bergen County ,NJ was solid for Coach Tim Wilson.

    It’s time to REST… and RE-BOOT the Spirit..Strength and Technique for Outdoor!!!! Bring it on !!!!

    You and your friends in Grades 6-7-8-9-10 are all invited to “DISCOVER POLE VAULTING DAY” in Warwick, New York on Saturday… March 24, 2018 @ Flying Circus Headquarters. WE are calling in all youth athletes from all different sports(Soccer,Football,Track & Field,Cheerleading,Diving,Snow Boarding,Swimming,LacrosseGymnastics,Basketball,Rock Climbing and Skate Borading and all others) to take up the Vertical Challenges of Modern Day Pole Vaulting!!! It’s a talent search and introduction for the greatest athletes on the planet. There will be two different sessions based on gender…so get ready to fly with us… and learn one of the greatest events in Track & Field. Expert staff and facilities… Cost ..just $75 for the 2.5 Hour session… All details below!!!!

    How to Register: All Registration is .. AT-the-DOOR Registration 20 minutes prior to listed start time.
    ( All participants must be current members of USATF .. Register on line at usatf.org/membership)

    What to Bring: All athletes should be dressed for activity. Shorts/Sweats.Running flats or spikes. and Bring Water for this 2.5 hour session.

    Cost: $75 per athlete…. Payable to HC Flying Circus or Cash ….. No Credit Cards.
