    Welcome to Pole Vault-Town ….. 24 Flying Circus Pole Vaulters swept the Girls and Boys Pole Vault events on a cool and dry evening filled with great music and great competition. James Coughlin High School,PA senior..Madisyn Hawkins set another meet record with her 12′ 6″ leap for this Penn relays Vault Champion. She then placed the bar at 13′ .5″ for three very close jumps, with the entire crowd of Vault-Nuts clapping out the run rhythum. Placing second..was Warwick Valley,NY Sophomore Kaeli “Sparkie” Thompson with an 11′ 6″ sail for a new Soph School Record and 2 close bars at 12′ 1″ for Coach Potter’s Purple wave. Placing third is the ever improving Colleen Ann Leahey of John S Burke,NY with her 10′ 0″ leap… Eith Grader..Hannah Solomon-Hollander of Suffern,NY hit 8′ 6″ Wenka Vil(Pearl River) 7′ 6″ Maeve Loughlan(PR) 7′ )’ and Molly McCormick(PR) 6′ 6″PR!!!

    The Boys were led by Westhill,CT senior…Marc DeLuca.. with a big 14′ 7″ jump for Coach Neil perry. This Indoor New Balance Emerging Elite Vault Champion will attend UCONN next fall. Placing silver second place was Warwick Valley senior Isaac Heatley..the hometown favorite with another 14′ 1″ leap following his 14′ 9″ PR on Tuesday. Vinnie DePaolo(M-W) sailed a PR for Coach Glover at 13′ 7″ ..Brendan McShane(Warwick) placed 4th at 12′ 7″…Josh Jeong(M-W) 12′ 7″ Nick Villanueva(M-W-Frosh!) 12′ 1″PR Dane Sorensen(warwick) 12′ 1″ Austin O’Malley(Goshen) 11′ 7″PR Connor Burke(PR) 11′ 7″ Owen Kelly(M-W) 11′ 1″ Anthony Cortex(MW) 10′ 6″ Logan Matthes(MW) 10′ 6″ !!!! The OCL Championships will be Friday… May 19 at the Warwick Valley Stadium at 12 Noon!!!! Come on out and support your favorite vaulters!!!

    Alana Carroll of Averill Park,NY…the Indoor Emerging Elite Champion from 2016 came up big again at 12′ 6″ this week and ever-so-close at 13′ 0″!!! Also soaring 12′ 7″ last week ..was Villanova University bound Gymnastic/Vault Champion..Amanda McNelis of Commack,Long Island for another school record for Coach hemdersen. Also close bars at 13′ 0″!! Pittston Area High School ,PA junior.. Abby Norwillo had a sensational week at both the pole vault and long jump.. Coming off a great Penn relays 3rd place vault of 12′ 3.5″ ..she flew 12′ 6″ on Tuesday and long jumped a PR 17′ 4″. !!!

    JULIA VALENTI (Dartmouth University) FLYS 13′ 1.5″ SCHOOL RECORD!!!!

    …That’s right… the Dartmouth Freshman won the New England Outdoor Championships Pole Vault at Williams College on Friday. This Multi State Champion from North Reading,MASS is Dartmouth’s GREATEST POLE VAULTER…EVER!!! Placing forth was Kari Stromhaug(MIT) at 12’1.5″… Kari Murnane(New Hampshire) 11′ 1.75″
    Marissa Robbings(Manhattan College) won another MAC Pole Vault crown with her 12′ 7.5″ and graduates on time this weekend in Jasperland>
    Tedi DeMaria …last year’s Flyin Circus Indoor All-American pole vaulter…leaped 12′ 8.75″ at the ACCC Championships for the University of Virginia!!
    Lee Bares of West Point won the IC4A Championship at 17′ 1″ for Coach Hill… Matt Fay (Bucknell)set his PR at 16′ 9.5″ for second place..Erik Adamcik(Rider) placed at 16′ 4.75″ and Peter Fagan(Binghamton) leaped 16′ 0″. It looks like the Circus BBQ Meet on July 15 will be a thriller again this year.

    The Warwick Valley – Washingtonville Dual meet is always filled withe exciting competition and results. Today ..that TRADITION CONTINUED..as hometown host… Warwick Valley Central enjoyed spirited vaulting from the Boys Fiber-Benders and the Girls Fiber-Cats. The 16 person VAULT SQUAD at Warwick Valley pushed their runs back and picked up their bigger poles vs undefeated Washingtonville Wizards.
    …. Warwick Valley senior…Isaac Heatley had a double PR Day… with his 14′ 9″ blast and 3 very close bars at 15′ 1″.. Heatley now moves up to #2 on the NY State Boys list for this spring. Adding another Pr ..is the Warwick Valley junior..Dane Sorensen..at 13′ 3″ inversion… and adding to the deep meet was senior Breandan McShane9Warwick) at 12
    ‘ 9″… Freshman Mack Hallet sailed 10′ 6″ again Soph Aidan O’Connor jumped 10′ 6″ in his first Pole Vault meet. !!!! Sophomore Jacob Becher…the solid and fast soph did not jump.

    The Girls Vault was also outstanding for both teams… as Warwick Valley sophomore Kaeli Thompson soared to an 11′ 2″ outdoor PR and had very close bars at 11′ 10″ from 8 lefts. She also had an outstanding anchor leg on the winning 4×100 Relay. Soph Lindsey Julian of Coach Duffy’s Vault crew placed second overall a 8’6″…and Soph Daniellia Raymond(Wizards) PR at 8′ 6″ for this fast improving rising star. Freshman Madeline Sorensen placed forth at 7’0″ Caroline Fatta leaped 7′ 0″ Kalie Mezzetti made 7′ 0″ and Courtney West made 6’ 0″ in her first pole vault meet.. Freshman star..Genevieve Reilly Did Not Jump.
