PA Up Dates…. Congratulations to Madisyn Hawkins(James Coughlin,PA) for another 12′ 0″ vault win at District 2 Class III at North Scranton to advance to State Finals at Shippensburg State University next Friday. The junior sprinter/vaulter is also heading to Nationals in Greensboro. Super Soph Abby Norwillo(Pittston Area,PA) sailed 11′ 6″ last week for a School Record and heads to state finals with Corah Krantz(Lakeland,PA) after her Class AA gold medal win at 10′ 0″ !!!
NJ Up Dates … The Bergen County Meet of Champions featured 22 Flying Circus airialists at Del Torre Stadium in Hackensack,NJ. Coach Rob Pasek(Mahwah) and Coach Mike Ives(Northern Valley-Demerast) vaulters found the winner’s circle…as Senior Jack Muller(Mahwah) won the boys at 13′ 8″ on the count back over Greg Fuerte(Paramus) 13′ 8′ and Junior Michelle Rubinetti(Northern Valley-Demerast) vaulted 11′ 8″ for the count back gold with Jessica Ippolito (Fair Lawn) sailing 11′ 8′ also. Luc Bontoux(Ridgewood) 13′ 8″ Amir Ansari(Mahwah) 13′ 8″ Joe Kim(Ridgefield Park) 13′ 4″ Dante D’Agostaro(Mahwah) 13′ 0″ Dominic Roca(Mahwah) 12′ 6″ JasonMezhibovsky(NV-D) 12′ 0″ and Ryan Vimba(Ridgewood) 12′ 0″…The Girls also saw Melissa Purcell(Pascack Valley) hit 11′ 4″ Maxine Earl(Ridgewood) 11′ 4″PR Nicole Lester(Ridgewood) 11′ 0″PR Caitlin Reverand(NV-D) 11′ 0″ Bridgett Muller(Mahwah) 10′ 6″ Jackie Helm(Paramus) 10′ 6″ Caroline McGann(HA) 10′ 6″ Marissa Entrup(Mahwah) 10′ 0″ and Sydney Woods(NV-D) 10′ 0″. Old Tappan’s Soph Seth Kircheff sailed to another win at 14′ 0″…and Brian Rubenstein hit 14’0″ and Penn bound Peter Chen(Delbarton) opened up at 13′ 6′ for his first meet this spring!!!
CT Up Dates … Congratulations to Weston,CT junior Danielle Cass for a super 11′ 0″ PR this week for Coach Meadve…. and Ava Coleman(Mercey) for her state leading 11′ 4″ School Record. Also setting a new Greenwich All Time School Record was Lia Zavattaro at 10′ 0″ for her FCIAC Champs win on her 13′ 1″ UCS series!!! At the Scc West Sectionals..It was another win for the Star Linebacker Nick Petruzzelli (Notre Dame,CY) soph with his win at 12’0″ on his longer sticks. Also winning the gold medal at FCIAC Championships was junior Marc Deluca(Westhill,CT ) at 13′ 6″ for Coach Perry . Henry Vossler(Darien) placed 3rd at 12’6′ Josh Appel(Westhill) 11′ 6″ Henry Spangler(New canaan) 11′ 0″. Cornell University bound Ali Moraveck(Masuk) and Lauren Russo(Newtown) sailed 10′ 6″ again !!!

In the Mid-Hudson Athletic League Championships at Staasburg,NY… Junior Dagi Tadesse(New Paltz) is over 14′ 0″ again for the gold..Matt DeLorenzo(Wallkill) hit 13′ 6″ for silver and Max Wieres(NP) and Mike Gagliardi(Wallkill) both scaled 10′ 6″. In the Girls section..Senior Sophia Alter(Rondount Valley) his 11′ 3″ for the gold medal..and close friend Samantha Kaplan also enjoyed her 11′ 3″ for silver.Noa Raskin(NP) 8′ 0″ Meg Romaguera(NP) 7′ 6″. Out on Long Island..Liam Ackerman (St.Anthony) bounced back big with his 13′ 6′ win for Coach Hendersen. at the NSCHSAA Championships.
