Early Spring Vault News/Results..
April 13

Congratulations to senior James Deutmeyer of Fordham Prep,NY !!! This Villanova University bound senior.. is coached by Brian Carney and flew to a NEW SCHOOL Vault record of 16′ 0″ in winning the NY Mayors Cup at Icahn Stadium on Saturday. The State Record of 16′ 8.75″ is in his sights!!! Placing second was the surprise vaulter in New York State this outdoor… Rahan Adekoga of JF Kennedy High School,NYC. This dedicated senior was part of Flying Circus South(The Armory) project this winter with Coaches Ben Simonet…Dan Placentra and Will Nesbitt. Rahan soared 14′ 3″ for another personal best from this rising star!!!

Weston High School,CT. senior…Nick DiBartholomeo flew 13′ 3″ for his PR this weekend in his first meet of the season….. and senior Tim Schanstra of Pope John,NJ set a school record at Arcadia Invite in the Decathlon with his 6442 points and PR vault at 12′ 11.75″ for Coach Corciran. Also scoring big …was Andy Ghizzone of Union Catholic at 6,579 points and 13′ 5,5″ Vault!!

The Cornwall Relays produced 12′ 6″ vaults from Ivan Mieses(Middletown) and Brandon Nebiker(MW)…. Only Echefu(No Rockland) hit 11′ 6″ for the Raiders!! At the Nanuet relays… Jake Diamond(Suffern) leaped 11′ 0″ and team mate Dylan Black teamed up for the silver relay medals to Naunet’s Gold Medal Performance. Ian Allen(Chatum,NY) won the stillwater Relays at 12′ 6″ and Joe Crispi(Farrell,NY) cruised over 14′ 0″ at Big Blue Classic in Staten Island!!!

The Jack Yocker Relays in River Dell was a Circus Sweep…with Luke Annichiarico(Old Tappan) flying 14′ 6″…San Siegel(NV-Demerast) 13′ 6′ Spencer Llerandi(Ridgewood) 13′ 6″…Marc O’Campo(Old Tappan) 11′ 6″ and Jason Babbini(Old Tappan) 11′ 6”.

In Girls Vault… Katlyn Rymarzow(Pope John,NJ) hit 11′ 6″ in her dual meet this past week…Samantha Beyar(MW) won the Cornwall Relays and Kari Murnane(Lenape Valley,NJ) won the Ranger Relays at Wallkill Valley and Samantha Kaplan(New Paltz,NY) set her PR at 10′ 0″ for the win… Matea Friedel(Rye,NY) flew 10′ 0″ twice this week for a new School Record for the Tuffs University bound scholar/athlete!!!!

Congratulations to Jordan Yamoah(Texas A&M-Kingsville) for winning gold at Miami Invite Saturday night with his 17′ 1′ leap for Coach Ryan Dall. His best this spring is his 17′ 6.5″ fly-Over at the Texas Relays !!!!
