SAMANTHA BEYAR TAKES NEW YORK !!!! Congratulations to Monroe-Woodbury,NY senior pole vault star..Samantha Beyar for bringing home the Gold Medal Pole Vault at the Bishop Loughlin Games in the Armory on Saturday morning. The humble and hard working CRUSADER in PURPLE Made her winning jump on attempt #1.. and then moved to her biggest poles and grip for 3 super close bars at 12′ 6.5″!!!! She added a 16′ 1.5″ long jump for warm up purposes!!!
Three other Circus Ladies placed in the Top 7…as Erin Leahey(Warwick,NY) lifted high over 11′ 0″ to start up her senior season for Coach Thompson…Burnt Hills,NY junior Kalli Manly was super over 11′ 0″ to tie for 3rd place and Tedi Demaria(Bethlehem,NY) soared over 10′ 6″ to equal her indoor school record for Coach Ashly Gansle. Hannah Bolick(Hereford,PA) looked great over 10′ 6″ for Coach Matt Conconnan and Jim Henderson’s Warehouse Girls each made 10′ 6″ for Sachem East,NY…JordanMessineo and Kerstyn Ciulla are making their move up.
The Boys Vault was a 1-2 finish by Coach Jerry Cahills Iona Prep Vault duo…Ryan Herrera-Murphy at 15′ 0″ and Matt Fay(Iona Prep) at 15′ 0″. Westhill,CT senior Chris Rough soared 14′ 0″ for Coach Neal Perry..Leland Roberts(Danbury,CT) looked great over 13′ 6″…Luke Ammirati(Farrell,NY) 13′ 6″ Jeff Sanwong(Nanuet) 11′ 6″ Connor Morris(CBA) 11′ 6″ Chris Elliot(White Plains) 11′ 0″ and Mark DeLuca(Westhill) over 11′ 0″

JIM MITCHELL INVITE… Dan Bomba(Iona Prep_ caught the ride at 13′ 6″ and team mate Jahkeem Wheatly(IP) also flew 13′ 6″ for Coach Cahill. Brian Sagendorf(Union Catholic,NJ) made 13′ 0″ Matt Leanza(Suffern) 12′ 6″.. Maddy Luksha(Ursuline,NY) set her best 10′ 3″ for soph record from Cahill Valuting..”You Can Not Fail Club” Kat VanLedtje(Corn) made 9′ 6″ for a silver medal..Vivian Mroz(Bronxville) 8′ 0″ Devon Feuer(New Roch) 8′ 0″ Amanda Grieco(UC) 7′ 6″.. Allyson Ghizzone(UC) 7′ 0″ .

WEST POINT DEVELOPMENT… Brandon Nebiker(Monroe,NY) won the Boys vault at 12′ 6″ before his relay duties…Matt Greenlaw(Warwick) placed 2nd at 11′ 6″ Soph Issac Heatley(Warwick) placed 3rd at 10′ 6″…..Sophia Adler(Rondout Valley) won her gold at 9′ 6″ for the All Star Field Hockey player in her first indoor meet ever!!!

HILLHOUSE DEVELOPMENT,CT …. State Open Pole Vault Champ…Maddie Schneider(Darien,CT) turned her efforts to the 55m Hurdles this week in her opening meet for Coach Steve Norris… After winning the vault at 11′ 0″..she sped to an new 55m Hurdle personal best. …. She aims to improve on her 5th place hurdles at State the past 2 years…. Maddie will be jumping from full approach on Saturday at Barn Meet and monday at Marien Corps @ The Armory.

CARA KELLY WINS at FDU MEET… Senior Multi-sport athlete…Cara Kelly(Vernon,NJ) set a new indoor school record of 10′ 6″ on Saturday at the FDU Invite in her first ever indoor season for the Vikings. This powerful and speedy senior is also heading to Reno Summit on January 15 !!!!

SABRINA ANDERSON MOVING UP THE VAULT LADDER…Hunterdon Central,NJ Senior Sabrina Anderson opened her season on a great vault of 11′ 0″ at Kutztown University on Friday night. This talented athlete has re-modeled her technique this fall and near missed at 11′ 3″ on light poles/short grip!!!!!
