STEPHANIE DUFFY……. Elected to SECTION 9 Track & Field…. HALL-of-FAME !!!!!!

Dear Vaulters… Families.   and Coaches..     

 

I am delighted. to inform you all …..  that our own Coach Stephanie Duffy. has been selected. to this year’s  class of inductees into.the Section 9 Track & Field Hall of Fame.

          Stephanie Duffy…….  Athlete….Teacher….. Coach         

Stephanie Duffy   was. a team captain at Washingtonville High School. and competed. with grace. and style.  She was. coached.  by  Charlie Delmonico. and Art Jessup. and Hugh Cauthers.  She excelled. in all. sprint… jump…relay events…but the pole vault. was. her. speciality.   She. spared. to.  three. NY State Pole Vault Championships. and. placed. All American her. senior year at the Outdoor Nationals. in Greensboro as. runner-up at 12′ 11.5″..  She competed on scholarship for the University of South Florida for legendary coach..Don Marsh and.  was  a. 5-Time Academic All-American  and Big East Champion in the pole vault with a. personal best of. 13′ 6.5″.   

As great as. she. was a team player… she excelled. at coaching even higher..  Returning to her home school district. as a teacher.. she has inspired the Wizards with her positivity and. encouraging coaching style.    As Co-Director at our. Flying Circus Academy…  she has molded champions. with her grace.  and  dignity.
