Vault history was made on Saturday in up state New York as.. first year pole vaulter TEDI DeMARIA of Bethlehem Central blast over 11′ 6″ in the pole vault to win the Classic Eddy Games at Union College. The former gymnastic star…coached by Ashley Ganzel…. used her 13′ 1″ x 160 UCS Spirit Fiberglass to the max in setting her New School Record for the Orange and Black of Bethlehem. It was just 20 years… ago that her dad…the legendary Joe DeMaria of CBA-Albany won his 3rd Eddy Games Pole Vault title !!! The SOARING TRADITION CONTINUES !!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!
NEW STATE RELAT RECORD for HUNTERDON CENTRAL,NJ… The Pole Vault has always been the primer event at Hunterdon Central, New Jersey… The success was started by legendary Pole Vault coach Jeff Tindal almost 25 years ago…as he fought to have the Gilrs Pole Vault event included in the state of New Jersey. On Monday at the East Coast Relays in Randolph,NJ The Girls Vault Team set another NEW JERSEY STATE RELAYS ALL TIME RECORD with there 3 person total of 32′ 0″ !!!! Senior Captain…Sabrina Anderson lead the charge with her booming 11′ 6′ vault for gold… team mate Madison Heft hit 11′ 0″ and Super Soph Stephanie Tack jumper her PR of 9′ 6″ to take the old record by 6 inches. HC pole Vault coach Mike Robetti is producing Vault Champions!!!! Also soaring was Michelle Rubinettee(NV-D) at 10′ 0″ and Caitlin Reverand(NV-D) 10′ 0″PR …Sam Siegel(NV-D) winner at 14’0″ Brian Ruberstein(Gov.L) 11’0″ Jake Doamond(Suffern) 11′ 0″ Noah Oliff-Lieberman(NV-D) 10′ 0″..as NV-Demarest won 3 Person relay at 36′ 0″ !!! Congrats to Katlyn Rymarzow(Pope John,NJ) for another FAST 400 IH..in 66.9!!!
Vernon Township,NJ senior CARA KELLY is enjoying her spring season… with her Sussex County Championship this past week at Newton High School with her 10′ 8″ jump. Cara will attend the College of St.Rose next fall and will be vaulting on there Track & Field team. Chris ought(Westhill,CT) is also enjoying a super senior season for Coach Neal Perry. Chris won the Danbury Dream Vault at 15′ 6″ this week and team mate Marc DeLuca placed 2nd at 12′ 0″…Christian Parteno(Danbury) 12′ 0″.
Old Tappan,NJ is still very strong in the pole vault..as Lauren Bilali(OT) won the Bergen County Meet of Champions at 11′ 0″…Bridgette Muller(Mahwah) 10′ 6″ Michelle Rubinetti(NV-D-Soph) 10′ 6″PR Caitlin Reverand(NV-D) 9′ 6″ Jessica Ippolito(FairLawn) 9′ 6″…. and Boys Sam Siegel(NV-D) 14′ 6″ Connor Abernethy(Ridgewood) 13′ 0″ Jason Babbini(OT) 13′ 0″ Dante D’Agostaro(Mahwah) 12′ 0′ Seth Kricheff(OT-Freshman) 11′ 6″.
