Crusdaer Relays at Monroe-Woodbury Central ,Ny was another gala gathering on Saturday..with Matt DeLorenzo(Wallkill) soaring 13′ 6″ for the silver medal for the Cortland University bound senior captain. Vinnie Delaolo(MW) placed 3rd at 12′ 6″ Trevor Hazell(Vernon) 12′ 6″ and Logan Matthers(MW) 10′ 0″. Josh Jenong(MW) won Fr/Soph at 12′ 6″PR Tom Qualter(CS) 9′ 6″ Chris Filotov(Nan) 9′ 6″ and Adam Stavash(BT) 8′ 6″.. Sophomore Sprinter/Vaulter..Kristen Lubeskie(MW) set a new Meet record in Frosh/Soph at 11′ 0″..Gabby Nebiker(MW) 8′ 6″ Gianna Scancarello(MW) 7′ 6″ Rebecca Baez(NR) 7′ 6″ Hannah Soloman-Hollander(Suf) 7′ 6″ Grace Smipson(TZ) 6′ 0″ Fiona Carroll(TZ) 6′ 0″ Jusmine DeGuzman(BT) 6′ 0″.

Coach Ashley Gansel’s Bethlehem Lady Lions won the team title at the Rome Invitational..as Tedi DeMaria(BC) set a new meet record of 11′ 9″ into a stiff headwind. Kalli Manly(BH) sailed 10′ 0″ and Lauren Berry(Emma Willard) made 8′ 6″ in rough conditions. At the Race at the Oval Invite.. Rondout Valley,NY senior Sophia Alter won gold at 11′ 0″ Samantha Kaplan(NP ) 10′ 6″…. The Boys were led by winner Dylan Scanbani(NP) with a PR at 14′ 1″…team mate Dagi Tedesse(NP) 13′ 6″ for silver!!!

The St Anthony Invite in Smithtown,LI was cheering for hometown hero Liam Ackerman(SA) as he won again at 14′ 0″ for Coach Jim Hendersen. Up in Massachusetts….North Reading continues to be one of the best teams in the state..as senior Julia Valenti soared to first place at 11′ 6″ in the Weston Twilight meet. In today’s Andy Wasnik Meet in Mahwak,NJ… Fair Lawn,NJ junior Jessica Ippolito set another School Record with her 12′ 0″ leap to qualify for Greensboro Nationals!!! Full results coming from this explosive meet on Tuesday.

The Somers Invite was won by Jordan Schwartz(Hackley School) at 11′ 6′ George Zakharov(Croton Harmon) 11′ 0″. The Union County Relays saw Nick DeLuca(Gov.Liv) win at 12′ 6″ Brian Rubenstein(GL) 12′ 6″ and Mark Lynch(Cranford) 11′ 6″…Girls Division..Leah Saifi(GL) takes honors at 11′ 0′ Lauren Saifi(GL) 9′ 6″!!! Over in the Pittston Area.PA…. watch out for fast improving Sophomore Abby Norwillo(Pittston Area,PA) at 11′ 0″ School Record at mid-week!!!

The 17th Brian Ahearn Classic Twilight Meet was one of the best ever..with National USA Marks in almost every event…Under-the-Lights at Warwick Valley Central’s Ultra-Speedy Track and Pole Vault Runways. This meet is a tribute to one of Warwick Valley’s Finest young Track and Field stars…Brian Ahearn…who lost his battle with a brain tumor 17 years ago… His courage and spirit lingers forever at our Warwick Valley Track and Field Complex. It was hot vaulting on a cold night..with music blaring all night long… Issac Heatley..the junior Warwick Valley Vault Captain won at 12′ 9″ followed by soph team mates Dane Sorensen(WV) at 12′ 9″PR Andy Rubenstahl(Wash) 12′ 3″ Brendan McShane(WV) 11′ 9″PR Kevin Nam(PJ) 11′ 9″PR and Luca Correra(PJ) 10′ 0″ Jacob Beckler)WV) also had a great night. The Girls division was also exciting as Northern Valley-Demerast,NJ) put on a Vault-Show for the Vault Nuts at the 50 Yard Line Vault Pit. Eastern States Indoor Vault Champ..Michelle Rubenitti(NVD) set a new school record at 12′ 3″ for Coach Mike Ives and had a last jump brush off at 12′ 9.5″!!! Caitlin Reverand(NVD) the Bergen County All -Round Athlete of the Year this Indoor season…took home the silver at 11′ 0″…Jessica Ippolito(Fair Lane,NJ) placed 3rd at 11′ 0″ Erin Yuder(NVD) 10′ 6″PR Sydney Woods(NVD) 10′ 0″PR Genevieve Reilly(War) 8′ 0″ Emily Welling(War) 8′ 0″ Kaeli Thompson(War) 8′ 0″ Lindsey Julien(Wash) 8′ 0″PR for Coach Duffy!!!

College News.. Marissa Robbins(Manhattan) won her MAAC Championships today at Rider University at 11′ 6″ Breanna Brucher(Manhattan) 11′ 0″ Maddessen Weekes(manhattan) 10′ 0″.. Erik Adamcik(Rider University) won gold at 15′ 0″. BIG News came from the Tim Farrell Classic at St.John’s University as junior Dana Placentra(NYU) set a New University All Time School Record at 11′ 0″ for the BIG PURPLE!!!!
