    New York– The 2016 NYRR 109th MILLROSE GAMES Jr. Girls Pole Vault Event is Loaded with Talent and Speed and High Flyers again at The New Balance Armory Track and Field Center on February 20th. The rich history of the Men’s and Women’s Pole Vault at the MILLROSE GAMES is legendary…with National Champions…Olympic Champions..World Record Performances and Barrier Breakers on long steel…bamboo and fiberglass vaulting poles. The TRADITION continues this year at the “Worlds Greatest Track Meet”… NYRR MILLROSE GAMES !!!! Come join the excitement with us!!!!

    This edition of NYRR MILLROSE GAMES features three exciting and deep pole vault events. The FLYING ACTION begins on Thursday evening..February 18 at 7:01pm with the Boys Jr. Pole Vault Event consisting of 10 great Tri-State Champions on Fiberglass. The focus then turns to the Flying Circus Girls Jr. Pole Vault Event on Saturday February 20 at 12:31pm on the super fast Armory Mondo X Runway…with Ten TOP USA Girls from 6 States delighting the enthusastic pole vault crowd in the balcony Sections 444-445-446 . The main pole vault event takes place on National TV at 3:58pm… with the Fred Schmertz Women’s Pole Vault..with an International Field of Elite Pre-Olympic athletes soaring. Join the ‘Fiberglass Movement’ with us at the 109th NYRR MILLROSE GAMES !!!!

    The Hudson Valley Flying Circus Pole Vault Project
    “Just Let It Fly”

    The dust has settled at the NB Armory pole vault area..after the last two days of back-to-back competition by Bergen County athletes at the New Balance Hall of Fame Track Center at 168th Street,NYC. Coming off sensational Tuesday night performances from Michelle Rubinetti(NVD) of 12′ 3.5″ and team mate Caitlin Reverand(NVD) 11′ 0″… they lit up the All Time Bergen County Relay scoreboard with their 21′ 7″ Relay County Record for the Demarest Nordsman squad at the Bergen County Relay Invite on Wednesday night …as 22 Flying Circus team mates enjoyed the competitive spirit of High School Indoor Track & Field. Everyone is gaining technique and the speed and run approach posture have improved by leaps and bounds….Congratulations to all vaulters and now it’s time for the CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON to kick in. PLANT HIGH !!

    Bergen County Vaulters..ON-the-RISE …. The dedicated vault coaches from Bergen County,NJ high schools are taking the pole vault to the next level..as many athletes hit lifetime bests this indoor. Such was the case in the BIG NORTH CONFERENCE Championships at the NB Armory on Monday and Tuesday night. In the American Division…Joe Kim(Ridgefield Park) won with his 13′ 0″ sail and Greg Fuerte(Paramus) won Freedom Division at 11′ 6′ and Ryan Vimba(Ridgewood) placed 3rd at 11’0″ for more Maroon Points. In the Boys National Champs..it was Soph Seth Kricheff(Old Tappan) winning again at 12′ 0″ Jason Mezhibovsky(Demarest) 11′ 6″ Jona Kim 11′ 0″ Noah Oliff-Lieberman(Demarest) 11′ 0″ and Freshman Matt Mazzacano(Old Tappan) over 10′ 0″. In Boys Patriot Division…Coach Pasek’s Mahwah senior vaulter Dominic Roca come up big with the gold at 13′ 6″ Jack Muller(Mahwah) 13′ 0″ and Dante D’Agostaro(Mahwah) completed the sweep at 12′ 6″ for the ThunderBirds!! Winning the vault at Morris County Invite was Delbarton,NJ senior Peter Chan…Kevin Nam(Pope John,NJ) sailed 10′ 0″ for the Lions!!!

    In the Girls Night out with Mr.Fiberglass… Northern Valley-Demerest ,NJ speedster Michelle Rubinetti flew 12′ 3.5″ for a new Bergen Indoor record… Team mate Caitlin Reverand..the Galaxy Gymnastic Champion flew 11′ 0″ for second…Melissa Purcell(Pascack Valley) 10′ 0″ and NV-D junior Erin Yuder hit 9′ 6″ for the Blue and white of Demerest. Their combined 32′ 9.5″ in a State best for 3 girl Indoor Relay!!! In the United Division..Caroline McGann(Holy Angles hit 9’0″ and darcey Ottomanelli(HA) placed 3rd at 8′ 6″. In the Patriot Division..Mahwah senior State Group Champ..Bridgett Muller won at 10′ 6″ Grace Gardella(Ramsey) at 9’6″ Emma Bogoenko(Ramsey) 8’6′ Marissa Entrup(Mahwah) 8′ 6″ Julia Entrup(Mahwah) 7′ 6″… In Freedom Division..It was Jackie Helms of Paramus,NJ sailing 10′ 0″..Maxine Earl(Ridgewood) 10′ 0″ Nicole Lester(Ridgewood) 10′ 0″ and kerry callaghan(Ridgewood) 8′ 0″. FairLawn junior Jessica Ippolito look strong at 10′ 0″ for the silver medal.

    Bergen County Relay Championships @ Armory(Wednesday evening)…. It was time to “Hoot .. and… Hollar” as Part Two/Day Two kicked off… leading the charge was small school winner..Dominic Roca(Mahwah) winning at 13′ 6″..followed by Joe Kim)Ridgefield) 12′ 6″..Jack Muller(Mahwah) 12′ 6″ Jason Mazhibovsky(Demerest) 12′ 0″ and Noah Oliff-Lieberman(Demerest) at 11′ 0″. In the Large school division…Old Tappan’s Super-soph Seth Kricheff hit gold at 13′ 6″PR..jona Kim (OT) 11′ 0″ and Ryan Vimba(Ridgewood) at 11′ 0″ !!!

    In the Girls Competition..Large School Champion was Ridgewood,NJ Junior Maxine Earl with her 10′ 6″ zoom..followed by Nicole Lester(Ridgewood) 10’0″(soph)….Kaia becker(No.Highlands) 6′ 0″. In the Non-Public Division..Caroline McGann(Holy Angles,NJ) brought home the gold at 9′ 6″ !!! The small school division Relay was won by NV-Demerest at record 21′ 7″ total from Michelle Rubinetti)11′ 7″) and Caitlin “Rev” Reverand (10’0″)… Bridgette Muller(Mahwah) 10′ 6″..Grace Gardella(Ramsey) sets new Indoor School record at 10′ 0″…Marisa Entrup(mahwah) 9′ 0″ for the Blue Thunderbirds!!!
