  2. KAELI THOMPSON WINS NATIONAL POLE VAULT TITLE !!!!

    There is pure joy in Warwick,New York tonight !!!!! Warwick Valley Central High School, multi-event senior athlete ~~~ Kaeli Thompson was crowned…”NATIONAL POLE VAULT CHAMPION” with a School..Section 9 and Personal Best leap of 13′ 6.25″ for Head Coach Mike Potter’s “Purple Wave” Indoor Track team. Great athletes have great bounce…and this was a super comeback event for the goal oriented team captain. Kaeli used her biggest pole in the bag to (14′ 1″ x 170″) to take home the gold medal in the deepest Girls Pole Vault Field ever, as six girls fly 13′ 2.5″ or better in the 2 hour competition. Fueled by her head Running Coach.Mike Potter and strengthened by her Strength and Fitness Coach..Dr.Frank Welling…Kaeli was set up for success.. It marked her 14 Bar over 13’0″ this season… a remarkable achievement of consistency this indoor. She was ready for the break-out performance today at her home track—The NB ARMORY!!!!

    Conor Reilly of Union Catholic also soared to All American Emerging Elite status …with his 4th place at 14′ 10″ for this junior sprinter/vaulter/gymnast. Dani Heine(Abington Heights) looked solid at 11′ 2.5″ on Friday…Marisa DiGia of Old Tappan(junior) broke her pole and kept on going strong all day… Liam Landau of Pascack Hills..our New Jersey Meet of Champions winner this indoor is ready for 16 Foot Barrier this spring!!!
